Caroline Wilson just saying that PD wants Adelaide to accept the compensation and NOT force a trade....in contrast to what some posters are saying here.

Danger has no say in what the Crows decide to do. If they want to match they can and there is not a thing the Cats or Pat can do about it except do a trade or walk away.

The *actual* reality that a lot of Cats fans appear unwilling to accept is that we don't actually know what other teams are offering. It's not like he's going home to Perth. He wants to go back to Victoria, not specifically Geelong. The "go home" factor is irrelevant because he could still live out that way and play in Melbourne..
Yes he does and no he won't. It is 100% relevant.

There's a Veale deal on offer here.

A nice juicy 2nd Rd pick for Matty Wright or similar. Then Adelaide let him go as a free agent.

The AFL said they didn't like it but then didn't do much the Saints let Dal Santo go as a free agent then swiftly traded pick 77 for Luke Delaney.

Just pointing out the flaw in the argument that the Cats wouldn't entertain the thought of trading a player purely because you gave them the #5 guernsey.

And trading Varcoe didn't free up any salary cap room for Dangerfield, he was traded out to bring Mitch Clark in who would no doubt be on as much, if not more coin than Travis.
Travis was well paid and was on a lot more than Clark is on, a $200k difference

Caro:

"I think"
"I believe"

Compared to Russell:

"It's a done deal, a deal has been agreed to"
Didn't Dwayne claim a couple of weeks ago that Pat was staying?

His source obviously wasn't very good on that seeing this has been going on a long time.

He also didn't break this. Caro did. This story doesn't exist without Caro.

Blues will snap Danger up in a heart beat if he goes into the draft
Should they? They've got Murphy, Gibbs, Kreuzer, Thomas as experienced players. They'd get immediate improvement but would be filling up their salary cap and costing themselves a shot at Weitering who could be the backbone tall to go with Cripps.

I think they'd have to pass. Then the pressure would turn on to the QLD clubs.

No he didn't, that was about a year ago. He's said Danger is gone for ages. He told a doubting Rowey and Bicks the source and they are now convinced.
