Now that trading future draft picks has been approved, would crows accept cats 1st round pick this year and next year ?
I'm sure the crows would consider anything that is better than the FA compo pick as they have the ability to force a trade.

Ouch. Did your mummy help you with that zingerAre there any?
Hahaha the ALFPA set and agreed to the RFA rules. Did they set them or agree to them thinking it was just a piece of paper with rules on it and meant nothing?
Carlisle is not in the FA window .
Dangerfield is .
If Carlisle nominates Carlton , the PSD is very much in play with Carlton every chance of finishing last and definitely the lowest placed Melbourne based club .
If Dangerfield tried to get to Geelong via the PSD , just ask yourself , would he make it there ?
Would he get past all the club's lower on the ladder than Geelong ?
I tend to agree the time factor has me swaying towards leaving, the only thing which may make him change his mind if he cannot get that clear pathway to where he wants to go. He will not enter the PSD so a deal will need to be realised which you would think will happen unfortunatley.
So you reckon all 18 clubs will have a spare million in their salary cap if Dangerfield elects to use the PSD - You are dreaming.
The rules are set in conjunction with the AFL and clubs - There is give and take on both sides - Have no doubt that the AFLPA ( which is in effect the players ) will revisit FA in the next collective bargaining agreement.
I repeat I'm not saying he will go or stay as I have no idea
1. We offer more than you can match. Most media outlets have said that the Geelong or Collingwood offer will be more than Adelaide can pay. You actually have to have the cap space too match. Be a good look to delist a player who actually wants to be there
2. We trade with the bottom or second bottom club to get their pick and tell Danger to just nominate for the draft. He's no longer your player from the end of this season.
Anyway the stats don't lie. If a player wants to leave then they go. Swings and roundabouts and Adel will definitely be on the receiving end of a SA guy coming home in the not to distant future.
He's got a pretty good record of getting blokes to where they want to go. And earlier this year he commented it's Cats or Crows.I wouldn't trust Connor's as far as I could kick him. I wouldn't believe anything until it happens, could be all smoke & screen like aka Buddy.
Im glad the media outlets think you will pay big bucks the Geelong coach has clearly said you want. Maybe Jay Clarke writes the cheques but I doubt it dont you?
Whatever champ. Believe what you want. I actually don't care as you point out I have nothing to do with it. Every article I have read has Geelong offering 100-200K more. I certainly don't care about what Scott says in a press conference mid year. HE was clearly talking to Motlop with that comment. If you think Scott would rather cough up quality picks and a player or simply sacrifice our pay structure and keep the picks and add more quality then you you don't know coaches. You match it and you have a player that doesn't want to be there. Still doesn't have to be there and still have to clear the 200K just in case.
In the nicest possible way I don't care what you think either. You also have nothing to do with it but are so emotionally involved that you're on every board saying that Adel will match for sure.
Those odds are heavily heavily stacked against you if Danger decides to go to another club. Any club that allows a player to remain a FA or RFA will get the compo pick 99% of the time from now on.
Your time for dealing on Danger to whichever club was last year.
No problems keep listening to the media and not the coach of the Geelong footy club. It's clearly evident there will be a trade which we will not get fair compensation but two first rounders or a 1st rounder and say motlop will be better than a compo pick.
Ok good luck with that.
Really? The same guy who came out in the media and said you couldn't beat the Suns!I've accepted he is probably leaving, but feel very very confident on more than a compo pick with Roo in charge

Good for you. I'd be confident if my club was chasing a free agent they'd acquire him as a free agent like every other club has done
Yeah there aren't that many FA's but I heard there's a few RFA, you do understand the difference don't you?
I reckon the trading of future impacts could impact this.
I gave zero chance of Adelaide matching before. But now is give them at least some chance.
Would Geelong really just not offer up a decent trade if Adelaide match?
Sounds just like Judd.Seriously i dont understand the hype around Dangerfield. Everyone watches him through beer goggles. I live in Adelaide and attend all Adelaide oval matches, he burns the ball 80% of the time. Next time he gets the ball theres a better than even chance it goes to the boundary or the opposition. It is very rare he hits a target.

I suspect we would, but a complicating factor is we haven't had a pick higher than 7 for a couple of decades, and not very many even top 10. So there will be some attachment to that pick.
Sounds just like Judd.
The amount of times the commentators politely said "Judd kicks it to space" was not even funny.
Motlop seems a fair trade to go with your # 1 pick, yes its unders but still better than a compo pick. It seems very clear the door will be left ajar after Scotts comments yesterday about they will not be changing their pay structure to accomodate any new players. Even if it was $1 Million plus Adelaide could match with the fact they are presntly paying PD around the $600K its not a huige increase to find. But as I have stated all along its PD driving this bus, it will not get to a matching situation there is no way PD will be announcing anything until he knows without a shadow of doubt he will get to where he wants to go. We all know the only way this can occur is for the two clubs to agree to the swap where there is no potential risk of Adelaide matching and forcing a PSD situation, this will be driven totally by PD, the receiving club have nothing to lose if he ends up in the PSD but PD has an enormous amount to lose.
