How's Charman travelling? Any chance he could miss a lot of games early?

Voss is still saying that Charman will be in contention for round 1. I think he might miss round 1 but I don't think he will miss much early.

Is Henderson a shoe-in for the third key-defence position or do the supporters just want him to play there because a high pick number was used to draft him? Who are the other chances? Roe? Tyler? Who is Voss likely to select basically?

I think it was Leppa who said he will be playing as CHB for us so us supporters are just going along with him.

There's a few bits and pieces here on Adcock, but I was after something a little more conclusive -

Basically what was his role in 2007 that saw him average 110 odd each week, as opposed to last year? Interesting that Drummond was ripping it up at the same time, so were they basically playing kick to kick in the back half?

Also do you know if Vossy has plans to change Adcock's role this year? It seems you guys are set for a higher posession style this year. Is he under pressure to keep his spot in the midfield rotation?

If he looks set for a role change I think I will go with him, but more of the same might see me go for Malceski or Raines and free up some cash.

I don't think you are going to get anything more conclusive than what's already here.

In 2007, he played most of the season in defence before moving to the midfield. His scoring didn't suffer, IIRC. He played midfield in 08 but struggled. Didn't seem to do any better when tried in other roles.

He is probably going to start in the midfield but wouldn't take much in the way of poor form to see him move into a pocket. He's a 50/50 call in my side at the moment. I think he's a better footballer than Malceski and Raines but not necessarily a better SC scorer.

I beg to differ, in 08 he consistently hit 130-160 a number of times. Admittedly these were largy in part to Adcock kicking more goals and using the footy alot better. He still racks up between 5-10 tackles a game. Malcieski and Adcock have the same scoring potential IMO, Raines racks up plenty of the ball but disposal is questionable.

Reckon Collier will get a run early.Use the 250k difference and possible Collier inflation where you think fit IMO.Adcock's output this year is terribly hard to predict.

Drummond's injury history isn't great, but he's that good that i am willing to take the risk. Lets not forget that the 'Eski has had his injury issues too.

When Drummond finally plays a full season, those who dropped him from their teams are going to throttle themselves.

He hyperextended his knee early in the first quarter vs Melb.

Your guess is as good as mine, I know he's flagged playing forward under Voss but I'm not sure where his position lies. I guess alot will depend on how our forward line is fairing - in the past he's been one of the only players inside 50 who has managed to read the play and know where the ball drops - if Hooper gets this right then there is less of a chance of him down forward (maybe) and the backline is where we might see him.

Personally I'd avoid him based on that we have no idea what his role will be this season - if he gets a gig in the first few weeks before his price goes up and he plays forward and kicks a couple of goals then get on him them - I'd avoid him until we see where he plays.

McGrath averaged 48.8 in DT last year. His highest ever number of possessions a game was 19 last year playing as a rebounding defender. Averaged 12.1 touches for the year.
