Missing Barlow & DPearce from OUTS

I think with Tabs it's more the case of most underdone.

All the others in question have played at least one and a half games this pre season (NAB and WAFL). I don't think being a KPP helps Tabs in this situation either. The sub rule may help say a Duffield or D.Pearce this week but I can't ever remember KPPs being subs unless you count rucks.

OUT: 19. Connor Blakely, 36. Paul Duffield,
Dear Peel,

Please drop Sylvia to reserves for the lols.

Let's face it, he's done here. He's of no use to Peel really. Will only leave next season and they'd be better off giving games to other freo youngsters or their own players who'll give 110% for the side. The fans of the team down the road can give us all the shit they like about, but next season he's gone and his freo history will be all but forgotten by this time next year. Do I hope I'm wrong? Not really tbh. If Sylvia isn't taking it seriously after 10+ years in the system he doesn't deserve to play for freo.

He has another two years (including 2015) on his contract iirc. Freo and he would have to come to an agreement for him to be delisted next year or trade him. Even less likely. While we probably needed Silvia to help our midfield last year, it looks like we are past that now. We took a punt and it cost us nothing but money. Just didn't work out. I'm not that fussed anymore tbo. He has taken money under false pretences for most of his career.

More importantly, it looks like Deluca and/or Langdon may play reserves when our main team is cut back.

They'd be very stiff to miss out. Both were good last week and you'd think if Deluca was good enough to get a gig in the premiership side last year, he'd be good enough to get a game for Peel especially after having an AFL pre season under his belt.

I guess someone has to make room for Jetta and Garlett but it does highlight the quality of the Peel side. They should be winning with the quality they've got out there.

They should win but....
It also highlights the downside of this amalgamation. Vanderleur and Deluca were both playing league for SF and Sub respectively and now that have been or may be sent to the reserves. If Vanderleur has lost his spot to Bootsma, he has no future:eek:

I will lose my shit if Deluca is relegated to the reserves and Sylvia plays league. Also, given Ross has said Connor Blakely is unlikely to play surely he'd have been better served playing WAFL this week instead?
He may still, unless he is held over. Chances are Deboer or whichever other senior player misses out on the team will be held over as emergency.

Langdon was mentioned by Mundy as impressing in preseason along with Weller and Blackley. He also impressed in his first game so I would be surprised if he plays reserves.

Deluca was a member of the Subi premiership team and played well in the gf, that would also be a hell of a come down.

Think a couple of Peel players will not make the team before these guys.

I do, however, see Moller, Vanders and Hurley playing a lot of reserves football. In the case of Moller it is important that he gets to play the role of lead ruckman so we can see some serious development this year, for his sake.

Depends on who comes back to Peel from the main team. Chances are it will only be Blakely or none. Then there is a good chance both will play league. Trouble is cruize had 43 possies for Peel reserves last week so if Blakely plays for Peel one of Ed or Josh may miss out.

I was aware about him having a contract next. That didn't stop us from delisting Jack Anthony. If anyone Sylvia is worse than Jack Anthony.

I hope the club does whatever it takes to get him off the list next season. We can pay out his contact like many clubs have done with contracted players. Highly doubt he'll be here next year if he doesn't get back to freo training.

He's harmed himself as much as the club. He missed out on the finals last year and will likely miss them again this year if we get in. And whatever was left of his reputation as a credible footballer in the eyes of the public has all but evaporated. Can't help thinking when and if he grows up, he will look back and think 'why ?'

My bud knocked the ball to him all game, cruz is a fair player but not that fit. I agree lurch should be getting ruc time, so reserves probably the spot at present tho reckon he is better than that. :)

I believe you. Cruize was awful for Peel last year. He wants to play in the team with his mate Leroy though, so that may give him some incentive to put in a bit more effort at training.

For anyone interested a wafl match between Sf and Claremont is on hot country or kix radio at 6pm tonight and have a couple of exciting players Traye Bennel and M. Pickett.

In 3 to 4 years. Anyone getting him into it any earlier doesn't understand football. Playing key forward is the hardest gig in the AFL and very few do it well over a prolonged period.

Mate football is one thing I do understand but can be a hard judge when I say impacting games I mean at WAFL level he is miles of doing it at AFL. Just expected after a big pre season he might come out firing in the WAFL maybe I expect too much and am craving another key postion player to demand a spot in the side through dominating WAFL games.
