Once again, Wilson is a class above.

Worner, Emmett & Treacy were the best of the Freo players along with Wilson. But it was a much better game for our players with every player going at least ok. Reidy doesn't do much outside of ruck taps and Kuek was well held but even they did the odd good thing.

Blight and Grey the best from Peel imo.

Brady Grey, we should draft him 😉

Worner can come in for Hughes and try wing.
It was interesting to see him spend a bit more time on the wing. His disposal at times still worries me. One he kicked out from a behind was a flour bag straight to the opposition, he ran to about 30 out and then muffed the kick only about 25metres to East Perth player with no Peel player to be seen anywhere.

From the AFL website just now;

'With Fremantle struggling to find avenues to goal, 2022 draftee Tom Emmett chose a good time to feature in front of the big sticks, the 21-year-old kicking three goals from 17 disposals in Peel Thunder's convincing 33-point win over East Perth on Saturday afternoon.

Occasional AFL forward Josh Treacy didn't do as much damage on the scoreboard with just one goal, but was strong in the air, taking 10 marks in his 13 disposals and driving the ball inside 50 an equal team-high five times.

Nathan Wilson should be close to a recall after a busy day with 26 touches and seven marks, while rookie Karl Worner led all-comers with a match-high 33 disposals and 11 marks.

Corey Wagner finished with 16 possessions, while Hugh Davies (15 disposals, five marks), Josh Draper (13, seven) and Joel Hamling (10, six) all saw plenty of the ball.

Rookie ruckman Liam Reidy only had six touches but did well at the ball-ups with 22 hitouts and four inside 50s, while fellow rookie Sebit Kuek kicked two goals from his six disposals'

Thing with Treacy is that he looks really good playing up the ground, but useless as an actual forward. If we didn't bringing in Jackson he'd be playing that role in our team at the moment. But how do u reshuffle to fit him in?

Worner has to come in. Probably for Hughes at this point. Offers less defensively, and his disposal isn't great, but he's a rookie putting up 28 touches and 6.5 marks a game this year, and has experience playing wing.

Wilson also done more than enough to earn a call back but idk who he'd come in for either.

I would seriously bring in Wilson for Hughes.

Wilson can play on the back line or in a wing.

Worner got 33 disposals. He should get a game

I will say this....

I look at peel this season. Good to see Peel thunder ⚡⚡ being competitive and winning games, despite some dockers injuries.

Peels best 22 is done in moderation. There is usually 10-12 dockers listed players and 10-12 home grown Peel players. And we still won.

Eagles have injuries. But their WAFL side is uncompetitive. You can have 10-12 eagles listed players. But sadly the eagles will have 10-12 amateurs as top ups

What if, we used our noggins and put Wilson half back and we moved Young into the midfield?
Or we move Hughes out Put Aish in the middle, Brayshaw on to the wing
He isn't really that mid/tall sized defender that Young is though. I don't mind the shouts for Clark to wing and wilson to the back.

However, that was exactly the move that prompted Clark to leave Geelong in the first place. He got shunted onto the wing and couldn't play to his best.

JLo's response:

One change: In: Wagner, Out: MJ (susp)

Rotate Treacy and Jackson midfield and forward.

I don't really know the structural solution, but Treacy has shown enough amidst a very limited pool of tall forwards to warrant further exploration.

There was some discussion on here regarding the need for an enforcer. Write it into Treacy's job description. Give him a run of games and then see what Kuek can do (minus the enforcer bit).

Treacy could take Hughes spot. I feel like Hughes keeps getting games because he is a big body. Treacy can do everything Hughes can do, but with a higher ceiling.

He doesn't have the pace of Hughes and does he have the tank? I don't recall Treacy ever finishing in the leading group of the 2km runs.

Nah, we just have to be content that Hughes is the best we have for that role for the time being.

Yeah you're probably right. Hughes has done everything asked of him. A know quantity.

Alternatively Treacy for Banfield? Same reasoning.

For me, the one , and only thing Banfield provides is the very occasional crumbing and or opportunistic running goal. You won't get that with Treacy and we can't afford to lose that even though it's not regular. If Treacy comes in this week, for me it has to be for Amiss or possibly Sturt.

Actually would try it. The forward line is too small and play without any bruising contests. Treacy in as a back up ruck allows Amiss and Jackson to go free.

Occasionally. Banfield hasn’t kicked a goal in two weeks. He’s not providing anything special that Corbett or Treacy are left out
