Yes he has not shown any real improvement since the start of the year and seems to lack the will to impose himself into a contest, when he does win the ball his disposal is good but biggest fear is he is another Benning
Probably needs to go back to the seconds and get some confidence , at this early stage Davies is showing more
Unless there is not enough Freo players playing at Peel, Draper has the advantage that he’s from Peel in the first place and therefore doesn’t count towards the quota of Freo players at Peel.
Basically means that unless non-Freo listed Peel players are better than him he gets a game. Same with Wilson, although in his case it’s not a discussion that can realistically be had.
Davies has to be in Freo’s best 12 players (excluding Wilson and Draper) to get a game. A lot of it is probably based on where Peel is strong without Freo influence tbh - some of the non-Freo Peel players in defence go alright. It’s not really an issue for Davies and Knobel to a lesser extent this year but I think we want to see Davies in Peel’s seniors next year and Knobel probably the year after.

What do we do with Hamling? He's clearly never going to come back into the main squad, do we just let him wallow down at Peel for the rest of his career? Trade him for draft picks?
will be delisted at the end of the year, free to a new home but doubt he gets one
He has been solid at Peel. He may get a game or two before end of the year if Pearce struggles to get up or needs a rest, particularly in the last round or two if we are out of finals contention.
He won’t be offered a new contract. Just not the same player unfortunately due to that ankle injury.

Yeah I was just looking him up. 21 years old. Would be a useful spare defender at AFL level I would have thought. Goes well.
