Pick 1 2023 Trade value - What would it take?

1. ROB has mentioned the evenness of the draft after "the first part". My guess he would want another pick in whatever he deems as that first part along with pick 2.

2. The changes are applying to this year's draftees. If we take Reid he's here for 3 years
ah, didn't know it had been approved. If that's the case, I can't see you moving unless you get 2 and 3 from north, or 2 and a F1.

Regarding the Pick 9 scenario, it would depend if a really desirable player was available at that pick. Pairing McKercher, Sanders as an example given West Coast midfield depth.
Well you wouldn't know who is available, you'd have to trade pick one before the draft. That's the risk you run.

Not a relevant comparison IMO. Bulldogs 18 would have been eaten up by a bid for Croft. 11 will become at least 13 after bids, not high enough to get one of the top level talents. North can get 2 of the top 4 after a Walter bid (hopefully McKercher & Duursma), and we won't be matching any bids on F/S, so will have 3 picks between around 20-25 on draft night at it stands.
you missed the point.western bulldogs gave up reasonable picks to go up to pick 5 and get Croft.
Your lot were offering us rubbish picks to drop out of the top 20 completely and not even be in the top 5 picks.

Sounds like North need just as many picks to solve list problems as the Eagles.

Might just be best for them to use what they have and try and sort out the void in decent talls.

At least the Eagles have Barrass, McGovern, Darling,Bailey Williams and Oscar Allen as a spine to work with and build around.

North have Larkey then............... ........what?
Lol - you realises every player in norths spine would be in WC starting line up yeah….? Nothing you can say will convince me otherwise.

So I find you having a crack at North’s spine one of the funniest attempts of a potshot (which is what I imagine you were trying to do with your humours post 🤦‍♂️)

North spine:

???? - Best tall defender in draft.
Corr
LDU
???? - Best or 2nd best tall forward in draft.
Larkey

^ WC would have them players (north’s spine) without thinking twice. So the spine is defiantly not at panic stations by any means.

I don’t think I’ve spoken out of school so far with what I’ve said?? If so let me know.

You’ll probably try and say how Corr is no good when he had a better season then both Barrass & Rotham and the stats back that up. Barrass can’t even average a single tackle a game playing in the backline.

Forgot to mention at least our spine has an All Australian in it from last year…..

You naming your spine like it’s in better position than north’s haha? Meh debatable and if it is it wouldn’t be miles ahead lol.

And I like how you named Bailey Williams who has played 40 or so games over 5 years as someone to build your club around.

Also named Darling who WC wanted to trade away this year and who will be 32 next season who’s only got a year or so in him.

I’d rather have north Melbourne lists over WC.

Next season Darling 32, Gaff 32, McGovern 32 Kelly, 30, crisp 32, Yeo 31 also injury prone.

Well this is clearly the award for dumbest post today...

I'll give you Larkey but who is "????" replacing?

Here's WCE's spine:

Barrass
McGovern
Kelly
Maric
Allen

The only one being replaced with North player in that lineup is Maric for Larkey in the forwardline.

You're either the world's biggest troll, or utterly delusional, to suggest those other players(which includes 'best tall defender in draft', LMFAO) is replacing any of the above.

Please drug test yourself before posting such utter tripe.

Classic tunnel vision but as expected I spose - I like how you take bits and pieces of what I said and then re word it and say it differently to what was said and the point I was trying to make.

Correct me if I’m wrong ok - Nothing I said was false was it? Let’s recap.

And I recall saying in my post how those players mentioned would be walk up starters in WC side and better then an average player.

Would Larkey be in your starting line up? ✅

Would Corr be in your starting line up?
✅

Would LDU be in your starting line up?
✅

I think we agree with that yeah and not speaking out of school?

Still haven’t seen anything that’s outrageous from my post…..

The other thing i said was I don’t think our spine is as bad as you think it is or you’re making it out to be.

Which I stand by.

I said how Corr had a better season than both Barrass & Rothman. Which he did.

I pointed out how Barrass can’t even average a single tackle a game. Which is fact.

And I said I’d rather have norths list over WC list which I stand by

You didn't name anyone for 2 of the 5 positions?

This has to be a troll

I stated Corr would be in your starting line up. Which he would.

same as LDU & Larkey.
Corr would absolutely not be in our starting lineup.

You seriously think he'd replace McGovern/Barrass? He wouldn't.

Handy WAFL depth, or third tall.

LDU might give it a shake but unlikely he'd push Kelly out.

???? - best tall defender in the draft, Corr and ???? - 2nd best tall in the draft is pretty damn hard to top admittedly

Why are you mentioning LDU haha? Who includes a midfielder when talking about spine players.

2 first year 'best talls' in the draft will apparently replace 2 of OAllen/Maric/McGovern/Barrass.

Never stated that so I don’t know why you’re saying that for…..

I just dumbed it down for you. Don’t know how to make it clearer.

I said,

North spine is better than what you thought and were making it out to be. I stand by that.

I found it funny you named a bloke who’s played 40 games over 5 years to build your club around 🤦‍♂️ I stand by that.

North list is far better then WC list. I stand by that.

You have an aging list. I stand by that.

Corr Had a batter season then Barrass & Rothman. I stand by that.

You can stand by anything you want, it doesn't make it any less wrong.

You're trying to claim North's 'spine' is better than it's being made out and you've put 2 question marks on lines because you don't even have the players to begin with.

It's lunacy.
