Or some middle of the road player who nobody rates just bursts out of the blocks to become a superstar?

It's hard enough to tell who is going to win the Brownlow this year or the next, let alone 5 years down the track. Thread belongs on the dung heap.

Jesus christ, its just a prediction thread.

If you don't want to predict anything and just be a knob why bother posting?

2011 - Judd. Demetriou gets all players leading him suspended - one for looking at an umpire aggressively

2012 - Judd. Plays 10 games after a groin injury (giggity) in the season break. Gets 3 votes each game just for turning up.

2013 - Kieran Jack. Demetriou accidentally highlights Jack's name for the brownlow at the beginning of the season after getting smashed drinking $10,000 bottles of wine on his new $4 Billion contract.

JUDD RETIRES EARLY.
DEMETRIOU INTRODUCES NEW "WHO WOULD HAVE SCORED VOTES" SYSTEM FOR PAST PLAYERS, COMPETING FOR THE SAME BROWNLOW WITH CURRENT PLAYERS.

2014 - Judd. New record, winning with 61 votes - Demetriou thought it would be suss to award 3 votes in ALL games.

2015 - Judd. Demtriou gets caught out from last year due to the ridiculously high vote count. Judd wins with 15 votes after every other player miraculously finishes on 12 for the year.

1. Judd
2. Pendlebury
3. Murphy
4. Ablett
5. Hill

How many times has Judd been BOG this year? Apart from last week he hasn't reallly stood out.
Friday night was probably his first real clear BOG. Every other round apart form Essendon, he has been one of Carlton's best 2 or 3 imo. That's all he needs really. Murphy the only threat for him at this stage.

In all seriousness I think he will join the triple Charlie's this year.

In my opinion Murphy should be leading Carlton's B&F right now, but who knows what the umpires think.

Anyone consider the faint possibility that there might be some new, potentially quite good footballers coming into the league over the next few years that could well render this thread obsolete and futile?

The fact that Bartel and Ablett wouldn't have even been on Geelong supporters' radars as soon-to-be crowned Brownlow Medallists five years ago makes me think this is an exercise in futility. And Cooney was probably the same, can't really remember if he'd finally made the leap from a talented underachiever to a certified elite player by 2006.

EDIT: Probably should add Swan has been the favourite the past two years and he was a nobody in 2006.
