Will be watching Fin and Krueger most closely. They have potential to make a big difference in season.

I think also one that we have forgotten about is Carmichael, can win the ball and could be valuable depth.

Love the move of Beau into the middle. Allows us to play Noble and Markov down back. Hoping he can win some ball as well as apply pressure.

Yeah, Reef, Fin, Kreuger and Dean for me

big focus on the likes of Reef, Johnson, Finn, Krueger, Allen, Ryan ( could still be injured ) and Steene this afternoon
looking for significant improvement in all because potentially 3 of them can establish themselves in our starting line up this year

Team Bendigo in black will be headlined by Brayden Maynard, Scott Pendlebury Nick Daicos and Jack Crisp.

Emerging Magpies Reef McInnes and Jakob Ryan will also line up for the side coached by Scott Selwood.

Team Ballarat in white will be led by Captain Darcy Moore, who will run out alongside the likes of Isaac Quaynor, Jordan De Goey, Darcy Cameron and Steele Sidebottom.

Pick 37 in last year’s National Draft Tew Jiath will play for Team Ballarat. Young Magpies Charlie Dean, Ash Johnson, Finlay Macrae and Ed Allan will also line up in white.

SSP hopefuls Brynn Teakle and Jack Bytel will play for Team Bendigo, while Sam Sofrondis, Campbell Hustwaite and Lachie Sullivan will line up for Team Ballarat in what will be a final opportunity to impress ahead of next Monday’s impending selection deadline.

VFL listed players Ned Long, Ryan Sparkes, and Jed Longmire will also run out for Team Bendigo, with Chad Mulvouge and Sam Glover lining up for Team Ballarat.

As announced earlier today, Nathan Murphy will remain on a modified training program and will not take part in the upcoming practice matches.

Last year’s number 25 pick, Harry DeMattia is expected to spend an extended period of time on the sidelines and will also miss the clash, after sustaining an injury to the ring finger on his right-hand during training on Monday.

New Magpie Lachie Schultz will also be absent from today’s match simulation after sustaining a boot to the back of the knee at training earlier this week. Schultz is expected to return to full training on Friday.

2023 Copeland Trophy Winner Josh Daicos is progressing in his recovery from lower leg muscle/nerve pain he experienced during the Christmas break. A further update will be provided in the coming weeks.
