Player Comparison Thread - Part 3

I think my team's just about done, but just need to sure up my premium forwards.

Lids is a lock, but the other 3 i'm not so sure on. May also swing Houlihan into the forward line to go with an extra premium back instead. Would ideally like my other premium in the mids and get Swan, but the only way to do that is to downgrade Ziebell to an 86k forward (but not brown or walker), and one of those would be on the ground - can't see many players sticking their hands up though!

Anyway

Richo v Pav (pick 1)
Chappy v Didak v SJ v Gia v NG Brown (pick 2)

Lucas or j.riewoldt? At opposite stages of their careers, lucas proven scorer but is ageing and could be injury prone. Jack Riewodt could have a break out year. Or is there another option around that price range that i should be looking at

Rank best to worst (scoring potential):
Boak, wells, cousins, kerr, K simpson, Judd, Foley

atm i'm thinking
1)wells
2)foley
3)K simpson
4)Judd
5)cousins
6)Boak
7)kerr

Thoughts?
I need to choose one for my midfield

1-6) The rest
7) Foley. He is not a good Dream Teamer. Cannot stress that enough.

Brad Sewell or Pendlebury

This is a tough one coz imo sewell is an undiscovered jem averaged 90 last year and looks good but at the same time pendlebury looks very good too.
Im having a lot of trouble with the ziebell/hentschell decision too.

But if both are playing Ziebell is more likely to score well IMO.

If it's a starting 22 position, I'd go Hentschel. If not I'd go Ziebell.
In the PS, Hentschel averaged 53 over 4 games, Ziebell averaged 44 over 3 games. Only the PS so it is hard to tell but I think they'll score similar.

Taylor & Pendlebury

vs

Malceski & McLean/Judd/Knights/Boak?

Can't quite afford Malceski unless I downgrade Pendlebury, but I'm thinking one of the other four will do just as well. Ideas?

Take out the game against Box Hill and Hentschel's average goes straight back down.

Pendles could explode, but he'll probably get tagged. Sewell obviously won't get tagged and he still scores well. Sewell is the safer bet and is unique, but Pendles has the potential to score a lot more so I'd probably go with him.

I'd go Malceski and Knights.

knights is an interesting one...thought about putting in my team today coz i like forgot about him...very high scorer and is better than his price shows...but a bit of poor form might see him lose his spot...we surprisingly have quite a lot of depth int he midfield...if neil craig looks to dangerfield and otten i wouldnt be that certain on him holding his spot...should platy round 1 but with van berlo and symes coming back it is an unknown.

ye i would expect him to hold his spot but there is a chance he might lose his spot to a younger guy....so it is a bit of a risk for a player at that price

i decided to upgrade to selwood

Bock vs Enright

The final spot im trying to work out. Bock is consistent as, should average 85+ this year (considering he wont play forward). Only problem is there is talk of Adelaide playing less of a possession game, which could hurt his scores.

Enright on the other hand is a gun, has averaged 85-90 for a couple of years now. With Harley and Hunt out of the side, he could be called upon to play a more defensive role, rather than his (high scoring) rebounding one.

Both slightly risky, which one would you go for?

I had the same problem. Enright normally starts off quite slowly so he should become cheaper later on (although they do play Hawthorn who he scores well against). I'm a bit worried about Bock aswell but I've gone with him because of Enright's slow starts and, as you said, may need to play a more defensive role. So yeah, I'd go with Bock.

That's a fair point. I've already got Selwood, and going for Malceski+Knights could be a double risk (one could get injured, the other dropped).
What about Judd vs Pendlebury? Is it worth going to all this trouble just to swap Taylor for Malceski?
