Doubt we are looking at any of the delisted players. I’d look at Blair though. Known goal kicker although doubts about his body being able to stand up to regular AFL footy. He’s an upgrade on Neade.

LOL.

Don't even give Ken any ideas. If we recruited Jarryd Blair that might be it for me. Should've been delisted about 4 years ago.

Pittard is amateur footballer at best.
A team wanted him and we gave him away for nothing. Doesn't matter whether he was considered not best 22 or surplus to requirements. He was a listed AFL player and we could have got something.

I doubt we would have got a butter knife let alone a steak variety.

Watts might not be available for AFL selection round 1 anyway depending on what the club does.

22 rounds in the SANFL please

I think the bigger issue with Richmond will be they will have to play another tall as a ruck plus they will have Lynch as well as Riewoldt up forward. Can see their style having to change.

Absolutely it will. Richmond are a highly organised but very rigid outfit. Adding a star tall forward will be a significant change for them I reckon.

They go in to 2019 with the best KPF duo in the league but potential difficulty to make it work.

Lulz and who plays forward if that happens Cam Hewitt?

Ah I forgot in Kerns mind “Where we’re going you don’t need forwards”.....

there's no room for soft as butter watts in the foward line or anywhere else unless we are desperate.

dixon, marshall, ryder, lycett, westhoff, hayes and frampton are all ahead of watts either in a permanent capacity or rotations of the resting ruck

I don't understand disdain for Watts....

I think his first year wasn't bad considering our lack of feed and support and brilliant gameplan and in comparison to all the other forwards stellar yearly improvement under Hinkley ( actually in comparison to the massive improvements in skill levels of all our players under Hinkley)

When he has the ball, something good happens.

As with all our forwards, he didn't get enough of it. We just need a game plan that allows us to get the ball in there.

If only he tried to make a contest out of every contest. If he tried to achieve that, he'd be AFL material.

Whilst we accept less, PAFC won't be playing finals any time soon.

Removing him from the list is getting something. We move on and that's a win.

If only Watts had the attack of Sam Gray and Sam Gray had the skills of Watts.

THERE is genuinely tempting talent on this year's AFL delisted free agent market.

They are the types that could plug a hole for a contender or offer much-needed depth for those teams in the lower reaches of the ladder.

Jarryd Lyons (Brisbane), Tommy Sheridan (Greater Western Sydney) and Darren Minchington (Hawthorn) have already found new clubs this week as delisted free agents.

AFL.com.au has taken a look at the other players (in alphabetical order) that might pique the most interest as they hope for a second – or even third – chance at the elite level:

Watts is actually my #1 Polec replacement.

He can do everything Polly can do.

Apart from run and carry, handball recieves, hunt the ground ball, move through congestion but yeah, apart from those minor bits he can do it all.

Run and carry - overrated

Handball receives - are we actually serious? So instead of running hard to create options for the guy with the ball he’s constantly skirting packs looking for the shitty dink handball

Hunt the ground ball - we are talking about Jared Polec right? The guy who managed to get an average of 6 groundball gets in midfield when Watts got over 3 playing in our forward line?

Move through congestion - who cares when you can hit targets?

Minor bits is exactly right.

If Pittard was not best 22 say on Richmond’s list or West Coast he might be worth something but not best 22 on our list converts into he’s not worth a cold pie.
Getting him off our list is the win for us and it’s the best win your going to get unless you live in dreamland.

How do you rate Pittard compared to Trengove, McKenzie and Hewett? Are they worth a pie floater between the three of them? How many clubs would have swooped on them if they were de-listed!?

Yes it’s amazing how quick we BF warriors are to criticise players...

Myself I would take Watts any day over an unproven Burton for eg

He's worth more than all those duds but it is what it is would've been treading water keeping him until his contract expired.
