It shouldn't.The Mayne deal makes me feel better about the Vickery deal...
Vickery turned you into Richmond and you missed the finals while the Tiges have taken your Top 4 spot.
Mayne just helped the Pies continue to be mediocre.

It certainly isn't this week with Eddie's re-appointment of Bucks...he's never going to admit to any wrong doing or mistake at Collingwood. Eddie is an expert at deflection, an expert of just making it all going away... until that carpet is bulging!F**king lol.
Pretty sure most people deflect and reduce of absolve themselves of responsibility or negative culpability whenever there's an opportunity to babyface themselves and make things look better. It's not some unusual situation or rare pathology. That's half the problem with society.
His two year contract as assistant coach ends the same time as Buckley's new contract.Ps. I'm sure his deal at WC was to continue on as an assistant coach anyway.
You're still missing the point. He accepted the contract because both parties were invested. His form came after the fact, then your coach comes out and says it was a mistake recruiting you, publicly. It's not about him coping with the pressure of playing AFL football, it's about whether or not you're wanted. It's pretty common practice to tell a player they aren't wanted behind closed doors, then they're delisted or traded. It's not ideal but what's out there isn't something most people can't already guess at. He's played VFL the entire year most can get an idea of what the coach thinks from that what Buckley said doesn't change anything. Unfortunately with being an AFL player there is a public pressure to perform. If he didn't want to accept the pressure he shouldn't have accepted the contract.
Yep
Funny though if he did he would be potted for it relentlessly though and everyone would be calling him an overpaid hack taking attention away from the point. Like what others are doing potting Buckley's coaching when it's got little to do with Mayne.
I heard that a year ago.....Darcy Moore hates Buckley is the talk and will be seeking a trade. Any truth in that rumor?
Yeah my cousin told me last week. Interesting if any truth in it.I heard that a year ago.....

MayneAre we talking about Buckley or Mayne?
He hasn't done anything to warrant being wanted. It might suck a little that it's public but what's out there isn't anything out of the ordinary or disrespectful. You're still missing the point. It's not common practice to say 'we made a mistake recruiting you' in public. You're basically conceding as the coach that you majorly stuffed up, and saying it publicly is worse!
Your coach saying his recruitment was a mistake is unprofessional. End of story. Do it in a board meeting. He hasn't done anything to warrant being wanted. It might suck a little that it's public but what's out there isn't anything out of the ordinary or disrespectful.
Missed a critical goal as well, but had a great last quarterJust fired up in the VFL final. Camera finds bucks in the crowd
Buckley is showing a distinct lack of accountability......this is just a disgraceful episode. Is it any wonder Colloingwood are where they are on field at the moment, Buckley most likely has not made one mistake in his own eyes. Destined for another two years of finger pointing I expect.
"Side by side we stand together" should have an asterisk and some terms and conditions listed below it.
EFAYour coach saying his recruitment was a mistake is the truth. End of story.

All true. He hates Bucks that much he took him up on the offer to travel to the US with him late last year to vist US sporting organisations. He also posted this cryptic message of social media 2 days ago "it was so cool to play 21 games in this jumper. Wow. We'll be back ready to reach higher in season 2018" I think he was talking about his new club.
