I'm not totally convinced Kennedy is best 22 material however with Bird's injury that definitely helped his cause :thumbsu:

Kreuzer + Masten
OR
McEvoy + Mitchell

At the moment I'm the second one I prefer as my first ruck is Sandi.
Kruezer + Masten will be more consistent and likely to rise in value so i'd chose option 1.

I'm not sure that Mitchell will keep playing the role across halfback that he did last year to av 102 (he aved ~94 for the 3 yrs prev)

Mackie + Ziebell
or
C Pearce + Franklin + 40k (that will just sit in the bank)?

Go with Mackie and Zieball. C Pearce still hasnt been promoted. Barlow and De Boer are the current favourites. Franklin however is almost a must have so U should find another way to get him in the team. Maybe go with something like Malceski + Franklin. Malceski has had a super preseason and dominated in both nab cupp matches.

Okay:

Ziebell or Medhurst?

Cooney didnt win his brownlow last year! he is under $400k and is probably worth $520-560k while he is soo cheap it would be a waist to pass him up! a big preseason, dont forget he had zero perseason last year and injury probs throught the year

and in answer to your question, Sandilands will average 110, Ryder may play up forward more often bringing his average down towards 80-90, Watson will average 100, becoming captain doesn't always mean improved performances, I think Watson will average 100 period, have a tremendous year and lead the side well, but will not change all that much, M.McVeigh is underpriced, again, same as Cooney, he is going to rocket in price because he is capable and WILL deliver a few good games early! If you are contemplating J.McVeigh, look else where, under Roos J.McVeigh has reached his prime, with the game style and the type of player he is, he wont improve any more than he has. Also, D.Cassisi will be a big improver this year in terms of DT points! will average around the 100 mark, He has had a HUGE preseason and does lead the side well in Tackling and the sort!

I know he didn't win it last year! Sheesh! But how much did he average in his brownlow year?

Answer: 92.
He is currently priced at 90.
Worth 520 - 560k?!!
What are you smoking?
You think he will average 130?

Ryders average "dropping" to 80-90... if he averages 90...thats an improvement. I'd take that.

Sandilands to increase his average by 15!?

I think you need to hone in on your prediction skills.

(But if they eventuate, enjoy your new car :thumbsu: )

Im having the same dilemma with Dangerfield in the mix too....

I am thinking

ballantyne
though mayne is in his 3rd season and cheaper

lets put these in order.

(rate 1 -3)

dangerfield
mayne
ballantyne

dangerfield

ballantyne

1 Danger
2 Ballantyne
3 Mayne

All seemingly good picks. I am going with Danger because he is clearly going to have some serious midfiel time this year, he is a very good young player, and Vince/Thompson will get the tags.

Ballantyne nudges out Mayne for me after tonight; thought he was super impressive and look ti have a game that is less likely to get totally shut down (which may happen to Mayne from time to time)

L.Jetta and Hitchcock V Shuey and TDL?

I hate to post without answering the last question- I'm really am not sure about Pears or Kennely...

If someone can answer that one before mine that would be great!

My question is:

Pendlebury or Mitchell ??

Very hard to split Pendel and Mitchell. Both could improve from last year; both great picks IMO, although I dont have either now :).

Re Pears and Kennely probably Kennely but not excited by either. If havent already got them I think Ladsen at 185 or Malceski at 242 are better picks.

Take 2

Shuey will do better than Jetta this year so its not worth the extra cash so go with option 2.

Okay, Which two out of these:

Dangerfield, Warren, Hall, Zieball, Medhurst

Thanks H2G (an optimistic name)

I think that needs to be broken down to;

Danger 232 V Warren 234
I like them both but favour Danger as he will be given a shot to be a major part of the Crows midfield.

Hall V Ziebell V Medhurst
I am convinced that Ziebell wil be a star one day but not convinced he will score well this year;
So Hall V Medhurst
Medhurst scored 85 one year and Hall scored 90 in two years. I liked how fit and agile looked so I'd lean to him

Hitchcock V TDL?

Cooney or Ball + 33k
Cooney could become a 105+ player this season but has had injury worries and other issues that seem to keep him from a dt GUN,
Ball will get more ball time yet is also quite undurable (playing 19,19 20 in last 3 years i believe) and also how likely will he become a keeper
In a nutshell it cooney likely to get 22 games and maintain 105+ or is ball the better option for cheaper?

Ziebell is a solid player, but I think his average will not surpass 80 this year.

Hall is always risky but discipline 'should' be better than his time at the swans, so barring injury he will play every game.

I would go Danger, will play more of a midfield role, and Medhurst, who was a DT gun two years ago. Had a bad run with injury last year and was dropped for the prelim, he is ready to atone and is proving that in the pre-season.

In order, Danger, Medhurst, Hall, Ziebell, Warran

I struggling with my defense at the moment, so:
Duffield + Schoenmakers OR Goddard + Trengrove?

I reckon Ball might catch Cooney. Cooney is a great player but not a great DTer, no points for bursting out of the packs at high speed.

Hitchcock V TDL?

Tough one atm my rookies are rockliff and podsy, as i think they will play alot of games this season while I cant see either of these cementing spots in there sides. I think TDL has more upside and still has shown glimpses and could easily get games in a weak syd fwd line, while hitchcock also has shown potential but would want to step it up to be named rd 1

Hey Jamzee, I am not sure about Pods. I reckon he is there only for insurance if Mooney or Hawkins get an injury; otherwise I doubt he'll play.

Geelong Forward Line

Johnson Mooney Rooke
Byrnes Hawkins Chapman

and Gamble for balance and also Varcoe....

From most accounts he is a rd 1 starter and unless terrible form it shud stay, but still hes not a lock for me, fwds and back rookies are tough and will only be made easier if some freak emerges from nab cup or wen the rd 1 teams come, until then just find the best point scorer potential or a player u think will get a lot of games

Agree. There is an argument for starting Hunt and Waters on the back bench.

Bartel and Lewis/Thompson
OR
Mitchell and Selwood/Pendelbury

Hitchcock V TDL

I prefer 2nd option, lewis/thompson shudnt really go up heaps to me, although i like bartel alot i think i wudnt get any of the latter, Mitchell is a star and shud atleast maintain avg's, while the latter 2 will just keep improving and become the guns we expect them 2 :)
