The danger with ROK is that he will get the first tag as Goodes will play forward this year. Pav is pretty safe to up at leat a tad but ROK may decline.

Good Call :thumbsu:

McVeigh didn't exceed expectations by any means last year so I can't really see him getting much attention giving ROK the No. 1 tag

Boyd is now the Bulldogs best player- why wouldn't he get the tag?

I know Selwood is a ruck/rover that needs to be contained, but what about Ablett and Bartel? Even Corey, Enright and Chapman are worthy of being tagged on their day.

Selwood has a insane average for a 3rd year player, and is set to improve again. Scored a 185 last year- how could you not have him?

I agree that Boyd is a terrific player BUT Cooney is the most damaging and will always get the first tag, then an eye needs to be kept on Griffena and Higgins. With Selwood some teams are giving up on tagging Ablett as he is untaggable and Geelong are playing Ablett more in the forward line. Selwood definitelty gets tagged ahead of bartle, Corey, Enright and Chapman. Having said that Selwood is that good it may not make any difference. He may also become "untaggable".

This one is a BIG toughy!

With the plethora of midfield rookies, it has got me thinking on whether 3 rookies in the midfield is a good option.

So my midfield would be Gibbs, Selwood, Masten, Martin, Barlow, Jetta and Shuey and Banner on the bench

This would be downgrading Ball to Jetta which would leave me with 300k.

So my question is:

Ball, Scott Selwood and Medhurst
Vs.
Jetta, Goodes and Mackie

Option 2, while risky... It provides me with FIVE premiums in the forward and backline.

I like your option 2, Mackie (and Shaw/Fisher/Kelly) are backline keepers while Ball may fall a tad short of mid keeper and Selwood is quite speculative as a back keeper or cash cow; and same for Goodes V Medhurst, whilst Jetta looks set to play every game and even if he is not a great scorer he is likely to increase by a min of 150K, good cash.

I am going that way too. At 160K and below I reckon 10 of the top 12 are midfielders. I am also using the freed up cash to put a little extra fluid (like water) cash on the back pine.

major tom, u think its worth putting waters on back pine when he is 150k? Heard maguire ripped it up with 25 posis...also

Who is best of these three in your opinions guys?

Mitchall - Could improve on last year?
Boyd - Never gets tagged or under 100 (lol)
Selwood - Has huge upside, but will be tagged!

Considering i have 3 other hawks/cats in team, while 2 other dogs?

Thoughts guys?

Thx hypes!

seelwood is the best option, he will not be tagged like you said because he is in a team with Abeltt, bartell, corey, enright and anyone of them should take the tags, plus he has bulked up and had a good preseason

buchanan or lindsay thomas? or any other forward 270k and under...

Medhurst, J.Morton or Hall

I was going to keep an aye on the first 2 for round one. Will Medhurst be fit? Is Morton in the Hawks best 22? Then Bazza goes and blows my mind last night in a half of footy.

So what are peoples thoughts? Can Hall keep it up this year with the delivery of the Dogs? Is Morton best 22? Is Medhurst fit enough to get back to premium levels?

Amon should have a role in the midfield this year and I think the change in game plan at Brisbane could help his dream team points rise. I think he looms as a better option to Lindsay Thomas, there are still better players under 270k in the forwards but I would prefer to not disclose them.

Bartel or Gibbs? :thumbsu:

Gibbs is still young and may have a higher upside, but Bartel has proven himself. so its pretty much toss of the coin between them.. I think I might go for Gibbs myself but only because of the slight difference in price.

Fisher V Gilbert?

What if Gibbs gets a tight tag this year? 3 weeks without Judd remember, and Gibbs is probably the next best player (Murphy gets a mention).

Also, his price is extremely high for a player that young- his average last year was incredible.

A gun of a player who is getting better every year and will one day be mentioned along with the games best. I'm personally going to hold off as i think he may drop in value early and storm home later in the year.
