I can't believe that none of the Bulldogs kids have made it on the list .... absolute farse. They have the best group of young kids in the league.

Of course they do, just ask Terry Wallace.

Trent didn't get on the field much in 2002 so Livvo and Wiggins definitely had better seasons but I take your point. His skill level is infinitely superior to most around the club. Has the look of someone special. Hard to believe he debuted this year actually. I understand that he is one of the pacesetters in the fitness stakes too, is that right? After Prender of course, who is absolutely killing them on the track. Can you also let me know your thoughts on Oke. I knew he was too good to be lost to AFL football already but exactly why can't he get it together?
btw PP, where have you been hiding while Collo has been going through the place with a broom? You've been quiet so I thought you might have moved on until I saw your name in Inside Carlton again.

Chris Judd and Daniel Kerr and that's all you need to know....oh and with a little McDougall on the side.
Others?? Im looking forward to seeing Ball play, see if he is almost as good as Judd.
I have to disagree.Originally posted by hotpie
I would trade Mark Mcgough at the first opportunity. He has but one skill - sure hands in heavy traffic - and that is not enough in modern football. He cannot kick, run fast, play attack or defence, and he is not a particularly strong mark.
Greg Williams was in in a million. Mark McGough is not within a country mile of Greg Williams (except a better temperament).
If you actually look at it like I did at the time you'l see Crawford didn't get away from him to any great extent until he got a shepard. Granted he was never going to actually make any ground in any event. There are planty of blokes who have not caught Crawford though. I would not think that is really being exposed. He didn't get caught much which I think is more the issue. Most first year players, even the quick ones, get caught regularly until they find their feet and th pace of AFL. McGough looks like he knows he isn't quick and doesn't try to be. Compare him to a guy like Damian Adkins, who I am a wrap for, but gets caught despite his great pace and flair.Originally posted by Falchoon
Chasing Crawford up the MCG wing?
A bit too adventurous unfortunately. I hope you are right and I am wrong but I can't see him having an impact in 2003 despite the clear need for a ruckman. He will get a run pre season but IMO he is not ready. I fear he may never be.Originally posted by Porthos

3. Guy Richards (Collingwood)

I seem to recall Spider Burton (or was it Porter? pretty sure it was spider) being able to run him down.

Just mentioned your name under trainers in the 2002 staff credits.Originally posted by PiesPremiers
I actually dont work there anymore and havent done since Collingwood's 108 point win. I left the week before that.
I wouldnt know how any of them are going this year, but i know prender was one of the hardest workers last pre-season.
In my opinion Wiggins was the best player out of the 3 i mentioned in my last post. But Sporn will be the best. Livingston will probably be solid, but no Silvagni, theres alot of pressure on that kids shoulders for only a 20 game player.
i thought O'Keefe was unlucky last year. Hes better than Jarrad Waite, who should have played basketball, not footy!
What did it say about me in the carlton magazine? I didnt see it?
fair enough. He was one of 22 blokes who couldn't catch Crawford that night. Actually he was one of 22 who couldn't catch a cold that night. McGough actually got votes that game FWIW.Originally posted by Falchoon
Crawford was cruising and doing it easily was my take on things, though in honesty it's no disgrace for that to happen, Crawford being one of the best 400-800m runners in the comp, he was "exposed" as being slower than Crawford
I recall that. It was inspriational stuff from the big bloke. Anyway, 1 is not many, is it?Originally posted by Simon_Nesbit

FWIW, I will be watching the progress of every single junior burger that sets foot on the senior stage. Some will meet their expectations, some will not, but at the end of the day, so long as all the Collingwood players meet their expectations, the world will be a better place. [/B]
