Jager deserves one as does the Chad and Impey. Along with Tom Mitchell, Henderson and Scully.
Yeah I wanted Lenny Hayes to win one.No one really currently as cynical as that sounds.
I wanted Pav and Lenny Hayes to win one in years gone by.
Yeah it’s a tragedy that Brett Peake, Robert Eddy and Raph Clarke never saluted.Without a doubt the 2009/10 Saints side.
An amazing team with some of the AFL greats and fell short in 2 of the best Grand Finals in history.
I'm working on a time travel theory where I can change the result of that game, hopefully I'll be able to remove your disappointment. My other aim is to change that Steven Milne bounce, have it sit up perfectly for him and then have him miss the simple goal - same result but even more enjoyable.Still disappointed in a way that we won last year without Naitanui.
The guy is the heart and soul of the club.
I’m surprised so many say Kade Simpson and not Marc Murphy.
Simpson has been a solid servant but he isn’t much of a club man. He’s not great with fans, not much of a leader for the younger blokes, just a good solid footballer on a struggling team for a long time. Not a criticism, that’s just his personality. Has been a good servant of the club, not more or less than that.
Murphy has given so much to Carlton. Remember, he chose Carlton over going father/son to Brisbane. Then, when things got tough and others left for greener pastures, including his best mate Gibbs, he stuck around, when no one would have begrudged him going. His body has been shot to pieces playing an inside midfielder role, has suffered through some pretty nasty injuries, still fronts up week after week. Captained the club in its darkest hour, and to be honest, helped provide some pretty important leadership through literally the worst on field stretch in 100 years. He’s a good clubman, does the media and clinics despite not relishing it, has always represented the club well.
For some reason Simpson is loved by opposition supporters while Murphy is a whipping boy of sorts. I reckon if any Carlton player deserves one it’s Murphy...
From other teams - Fyfe, Betts, maybe Dangerfield, and I dunno how but half that St Kilda team that got close (Riewoldt, Kosi, Dal Santo, Montagna, etc)
I'd be happy for Chris Mayne if he won one with the Pies, and rather pleased for myself as well.
Josh Kelly, anybody that has broken North's hearts on multiple occasions deserves a flag!
Phat Toni said:outside the week we play Norf you never hear them mentioned again. That insinuates that to Essendon folk Norf are like that annoying little cousin in the family, you tolerate them for that one day a year that you have too, you buy them an Easter egg and then never think about them again.
