I can confidently say that the Coates League app is one of the worst footy apps going around.

Results from yesterday still not uploaded.
They get uploaded with the stats, and stats are done on a rewatch to the best of my knowledge.

If results and goal kickers are the main thing you're after, PlayHQ is usually up within 30 minutes post game; Home and Away competition fixtures | PlayHQ

Interested in your thoughts on Geordie Payne (TAS).

He impressed me yesterday, reliable interceptor with clean disposal and decision making on the rebound. Draft wise I think best chance is as a rookie, this draft is stacked with half backs that have various POD's in terms of their marking, disposal or athleticism and Payne just doesn't have that one thing that stands out from the other 15 or so in contention, but he is the sort I'd expect to see on Tassies initial list if he doesn't get picked up

PMBangers - Who are the best pure lock down tall defenders in this draft mate?
We need everything but especially one of these. Gov and TB are both better interceptors. TB good at both but I want a great one (potentially)
It's not looking good...

I think O'Sullivan has the most potential to turn into that guy, but he, like Curtin, is most impactful when allowed to move further up the field and play a more intercept focused game. Murphy I think suits it most with his current playstyle given he's more FB than CHB, but has some filling out to prior to getting there.

Will Patton later on is another decent option, though he's not really KPP height and has struggled against taller opposition in Champs games this season

Interested on your thoughts of Kobe Ryan, Only 19 and has had a phenomenal season playing all SANFL league games this year.Has been called ball magnet, fearless, industrious, game changer, full tank, never stops running and his stats on the final SANFL League leaderboard speaks volumes. Ranking points 5th, Clearances 10th, Free kicks 2nd, Tackles 4th, Disposals 9th. Kicking has improved from last season and has a lightening fast hand ball. Many still scratching their heads that he wasn't picked up last year.Size is certainly not an issue which has been proven this year.

Kobe isn't, and wasn't, the perfect footballer by any means and there's still flaws in his game, but i don't think it was completely the on field that held him back from being drafted

PMBangers who do you think will be available at Geelongs pick and who do you think we will be going after?
Oh It's just so difficult to tell nowadays! Geelong's at the edge of the top 14 (if Croft nominates F/S) so will likely just pick up whoever of that group is left on the table, but might be tempted to go for a Riley Hardeman, Archie Roberts or James Leake if all that's left are talls. Leake a little different from the other two in play style, but Hardeman and Roberts would bring a bit of speed to the defensive half for Geelong with the potential to graduate to a wing in time, and really I think Geelong need to be focusing on speed and disposal skill in their next group of youngsters coming up

Disregard this I didn't realise Geelong finished so low lmao. The dream scenario is Colby McKercher sliding to the Cats pick but that's extremely unlikely, after that I'd say a Connor O'Sullivan or even Nate Caddy would be of interest, opposite ends of the field but both guys that are decently quick and damaging in transition, or if the need for speed is urgent Darcy Wilson would be the one to look at

We're as shocked as you. Would you say Nate Caddy would be a little similar to Ollie Henry in role? Height might just be a number but does kind of suggest he's a 3rd tall type

I'd say Caddy is a stronger contested mark than Henry, and I wouldn't be worrying about that too much if Caddy is their highest player on the board personally

His recent run of form definitely puts him back into 15-20 contention. He's definitely a forward that can pinch hit rather than a genuine #1 ruck, but he's a fair way off size wise before he's even able to do that
I recall a big knock was his competitiveness. Has this seemed a lot better of late?

PMB, who would you liken Tholstrup and Sanchez to? And I gather Tholstrup is the one less likely to be there at Eagles' second pick - 19?
Also re James Leake, with him going forward kicking goals, what type of forward is he and might he last to pick 19?

I wouldn't say he's ever been uncompetitive, consistently presents and trues to be involved, he's struggled on more physical opponents at times though. He's improved in that regard and found more ways to get free from oppo but I don't think it's ever going to be a strength of his

Again don't really do comparisons, Tholstrup plays a lot more of a physical and contested game whereas Sanchez is more zippy and looks better in space.

Leake's a medium marking target who can fill in a key role due to his leap and strong hands when up forward, but probably will be more valued as a high half forward or defender at the next level given his class by foot

PMBangers Do you expect Cam Nyko to be drafted this year? And where do you rate Cody Anderson and Baylin Spencer for next year?
I'd be surprised but there's clearly interest given the combine invite.

Baylin I have no notes on, Anderson I don't mind but is one I wouldn't be shocked to see slide to a late Pick/ not picked up next year given his size as a midfielder and his lack of real weapons

I can imagine people comparing Tholstrup to Zurhaar. Sanchez, not sure....Liam Baker perhaps

Where do you expect Jack Callinan to go?
Is he a chance for Essendons second rounder, as could add to our small forward/small defnder quality.

I think he's probably a 40+ Pick as it stands, which is pretty astounding given his skillset but I just think there's too many ahead of him athletically at the moment; Sanchez and Gothard specifically in the second round range play similar roles, and Lachie Charlson I currently rate higher

Pre Finals First Round Phantom 🤠
It's a strong first round no doubt about it. I think I would have Arie in R1. He is the best kick in the draft by a street. If the bid doesn't come on McCabe I can see the Hawks liking Arie. Mitch Edwards would be right up there as well. I can't see him being available at the start of R2.
I can't see Roberts going R1 but I don't know who the second player is I could take out. Maybe De Mattia.
Also you have Sanders going to Adelaide but it's almost certain he will be at the Kangas or have I missed an update on this?

1. That's an interesting thought, I don't see Schoenmaker as a first rounder atm and I disagree he's the best kick in the draft, similar to Cowan last year he catches the eye with long bombs but that's about all that's in his trick bag, very rarely looks to kick short and when he does it's certainly nothing overly impressive.

2. Yes Mitch Edwards SHOULD go Round 1 based on talent, I don't think he will though

3. There has been no update which is why I've used him as an open draft selection, nothing confirmed even if it's likely

Schoenmaker is a nice kick, don't know about best in draft but his kicking is a weapon like this in miserable wet windy conditions
