PMB, who would you liken Tholstrup and Sanchez to? And I gather Tholstrup is the one less likely to be there at Eagles' second pick - 19?
Also re James Leake, with him going forward kicking goals, what type of forward is he and might he last to pick 19?
I see shades of Mark Le Cras in Sanchez, very smart player. Big call but similar in size and position (froward/mid). Le Cras was taken 37th in the draft, Sanchez may go earlier.

Ha ha look at this wishful thinking.

North won’t take Curtin if we don’t lose McKay so you could probably slip Colby McK right in there at 2.
Let a man dream Filth 😥

At least I knew you’d know I was purely bullying you in a big brother way. You wouldn’t see me talk to, I dunno, Davo like that.

Melbourne 💯 won’t be taking Watson if either of the premium midfielders Duursma or McKercher are still available at 5. Even then I’m not convinced we’ll take him. Would prefer O’Sullivan as a long-term Steven May replacement.

I don’t care how good Watson is at junior level. 170cm scares the f…. out of me. I reckon he slides on draft night.

I can only hope so... Bloody ripper.
WOW Pickett is a whole 1 cm taller. Mmmm... lol

What is the latest with Ashton Moir? Was in the top 5 at the beginning of the year, now in the 30's and keeps drifting out. Do you think he will still get drafted.

That’s why Pickett went at pick 12 and although can be magical, still remains an inconsistent performer.

Taking a flashy forward pocket when a premium midfielder or premium KPP is available in the top 5 would be incredibly dumb by us.

DOW was a premium midfielder... just saying.
If you think Watto is just a flashy forward pocket u obviously advent been paying enough attention.
Cheers

There are inherent risks with every kid, Watson included.

And yes, he is a flashy forward pocket. Nothing wrong with that. But don’t pretend he’ll be anything other than that at AFL level.

Duursma a premium midfielder?, plays a whole lot forward for a premium midfielder?

Midfielder/forward. Even better.

No-one’s drafting Watson for his midfield potential, except maybe Essendon who love recruiting m1dgets to go up against guys like Bont, Cripps and Petracca 😂

The difference is Pickett rapidly rose up draft boards in the last couple of months. Didn’t slide at all, instead went from a likely 3rd round prospect to a premium pick.

Still, I’d imagine he’s the last of that elite top end to be selected. I agree that Duursma and McKercher are more likely for the Demons

I'd be shocked if he didn't get drafted given his clear talent, probably still goes in the second round

Pre Finals First Round Phantom 🤠
Works out well. North and WC can do a swap if Reid wants to come home :p
Probably nailed it for us if this is how it spins out. Would be one of Caddy or Sanders . Wilson an outside chance. :thumbsu:

This is missing Gold Coasts pick 4(whoever they trade it to).
In this, hypothetical and inconsequential, phantom draft, it is eaten up to match the bid on Jed Walter at Pick 2 🥳

Twomey on sen this morning said the afl is looking at bringing the northern academies into line with the nga. Mean there will be a protected zone. Hopefully it gets up
Damn Gold Coast going and ruining it for the rest of us

FFS... another EddieMaguire knee jerk reaction...
They only had the 3 father sons in last nights AA team, not so sure that he'll pushing for something there.

Mmmm... U know how the draft works yeah? They are matched bids... indicated by the Y in the right hand column
Except Gold coast will likely be trading out their pick 4 to accumulate more draft points to match bids. Everyone after pick 4 will be bumped down the order again unfortunately on top of Suns matching for Walter at likely pick 2. Thats whats being reported.

Suns don't want to go into draft deficit because they didn't have the points to match all Walter, Read and Rogers. Suns have war chest of 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks to help them match points. They have been strategically planning for this for past couple years.

Walter should get called out at pick 2 and thats worth 2517 points.

Melbourne and Sydney are the two best positioned clubs to move into pick 4 with later 1st round selections and early picks in 2nd round picks to get suns anything above 2034 points that Pick 4 is worth. Melbourne could have picks 4 and 5 this draft, bit scary for the comp.

Suns will dangle the pick 4 carrot and get more points in return. They dont need pick 4. They need points.

So in anticipation of this I'm supposed to guess who they'll trade it to, and what the trade will consist of?
