In one sense it's refreshing to see a politician not milk a tragedy for all the popular vote gain they possibly can like most others would

In another this is the type of thing people will remember. Can you rely on this guy in a crisis? No.

Well that was a train wreck, he looked and sounded rattled and quite obviously completely out of touch.........he needs to go.

Meanwhile there’s this from John Hewson.
Fantastic article by Hewson. Morrison should get him in as a senior advisor as actually understand long term vision & policy.

"Genuine leadership" - time for ScoMo to show some or leave because we deserve it!

Yeah get the bloke that lost the unloseable election to advise the bloke that won the unwinnable election. John Hewson formerly known as Paul Keating's baitch. Still busy working out the G.S.T. on a birthday cake, wonder if he's figured it out yet?

He was right with GST as it came but later under Howard/Costello... just couldn't win any argument against Keating who is the dux of debating.

You must admit Hewson at least has a long term vision whereas ScoMo appears clueless in this respect.

Problem is I don’t think he has one ounce of any leadership qualities in him.

Scarey thing is if Scot from marketing gets the flick.....who leads?

Micheal “exploding dung” Mcwhatshisname”
Joshy...
Barnaby “the deceased were probably greens voters” Joyce.
Dutton....enough said.
Shifty Taylor “the saviour of Christmas and council travel budgets”
The member for Manila
Sussan “2017 travel expenses” Ley
David “I don’t know if climate change is man made 10/9/19” Littleproud
Mathias “I can’t count or balance personal budgets” Cormann
Bridget “$20,000 ice hockey game and property purchaser” McKenzie
Matthew “coal” Canavan
Simon “can’t find the door” Birmingham
Christian “campaign bus” Porter
Michaelia “hiding behind the whiteboard from everybody, afp included” Cash
Stuart “Minmetals, $2000 internet, robodebt” Roberts

I could go on but it’s too depressing.
Their a ragtag bunch alright....god help us.

Can you imagine Keating against Morrison now? Morrison would be in Hawaii permanently, afraid to face Keating’s onslaught.

SmoCo is a coward.

Voters don't vote for long term planning or vision.

That's the problem, we reward the now.

Watching #Smoko today and his cringeworthy efforts in the bushfires, I'm reminded of Shorten's efforts when the Beaconsfield tragedy was ongoing...

Popular, no.
Capable of leadership, yes.
That wasn't leadership, that was positioning for a tilt at politics.

If you want leadership (or at least pretending ) Rudd and Abbott did it far better.

Howards speech about gun reform, those pictures with the bullet proof vest was the last real show of leadership this country has seen (I'm not saying he was perfect or didn't do things wrong).

Scomo was our trump, someone we didn't feel threatened by, he isn't articulate, doesn't seem smart. Almost like our weird uncle.we could do a better job than scomo !!

So We got what we wanted, someone who made us feel smarter, because as a country we are scared of people who might be know more than us, in case they say something we don't like.

What would they know, they’re just on the ground unpaid volunteers who aren’t protecting their paid government gigs so can speak freely. Not worth listening to a word they say.

You're right, it probably was - but he was there from the get-go, doing whatever, and he did it well enough to get Labor party leadership (eventually)

#Smoko failed at even this

Not true.

Hawke/Keating & Howard/Costello teams both showed voters will reward you for a long term vision.

Problem is ScoMo lacks any vision & is coming across as a fraud. At least the state leaders are coming across a genuine.

Ouch - senior NSW Liberal Andrew Constance says the Prime Minister got "the welcome he probably deserved" when he was yesterday driven out of a bushfire ravaged town.

If he was federal i'd expected the knives coming out, but still... that's how it starts

You really see the quality of a leader in adversity & often a leader becomes more popular... however if you are not a leader of quality, it can be the beginning of the end.
