Here is one I found just now

However, the death rate per prisoner is only part of the story. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are 10 times more likely to die in custody than non-Indigenous people in Australia

Is the kneeling remembering the sickening way Floyd died? Or is it being united with Kaepernick's protest during the anthem?

Either way, not sure it how it represents indigenous Australia or local issues. Not against it and people should feel free to stand up for what they believe in.

I am curious how there was none of this level of activism when Goodes was driven out of the game by racist idiots, yet players will jump on a global movement.

Everything is not about Adam Goodes you know.

Exactly what i have said.
Our history of racism is not far behind by the US and all of a sudden we what to jump on the bandwagon.
It's a case a look at us look at us.

So your problem is purely because you think it's PR related? That's fair enough.

I don't think it's doing any damage to "the cause", however.

Its weird that everyone against this is arguing that its against free speech to force them to kneel, as if the AFL physically or somehow mind controlled these young men and forced them on their knees to suck at societies virtue...ok that got too sexual but hmm.

Sort of boils down to: The player should be allowed to not kneel and not have it assumed hes pro the police brutality of another country. And it would be a stretch to assume all of them would kneel in solidarity with their fellow players for this issue.

It's the same as the Colin Kaepernick thing. Better change your vote.
Never heard of him, don't care about him, I'm with Sir Floyd, and that's what the knee represents to me.

Do it properly, or don't do it all.

Imagine playing the national anthem for the first two lines and then stopping the song. It would be silly and disrespectful.

Sir Floyd died for our sins and this is how we repay him?

Do the full 8m 46s or don't do it at all.

And don't try to tell me AFL players are fit enough to kneel for 8m 46s. They're professional athletes ffs.

This is some shit tier level of trolling my friend. But good on you for trying.

There has been a shit load of it unfortunately.

But probably unfair of us to expect people to take a topic seriously when it's so hilarious to troll people dying.

I guess people just had enough and are now retrospectively applying the cause to all parts of the world where racist occurrences were either not addressed or fell on deaf ears.

They will probably jump on the global movement because of the sheer number of people following it. I noticed that people tend to have more courage when they have numbers alongside them. When Goodes was driven out of the game, supporting him seemed like the unpopular opinion at the time. Hence, there wasn’t as much activism about this. Not saying it is right, but that’s just from my observation.

Now you're just being disrespectful, bordering on, well, I won't say it. But we both know.

This guy is a true hero and I suspect that you simply don't respect him enough to kneel through the full 8m 46s of silence he deserves.

You think that maybe 30s of silence is 'enough', that by doing 30s you have 'played your part', just like the players last night.

Fair enough, that's your opinion, but don't besmirch me and call me names just because we disagree.

Do you understand?
