Agree. How do you know whether or not Hinkley has a weekly theme or not?
The coach is heavily involved in creating a culture, but it's not just him, It stems from the President down. Take a look at Carlton if you want a good example.
Dunno but maybe his pre game plan was to just stand there and watch.
It's not just about having a theme. It needs to resonate and work.

If you read my post properly you will understand my comment was "from afar....". I don't profess to be an expert on matters Port Adelaide. If fact, IDGAF about Port Adelaide and never will. But if you take your blinkers off, and when your arse recovers from last nights pounding, you might appreciate a broad range of views.

Truth hurts?
At face value they should be OK to go again - 8th oldest team finishing 3rd. But some of the touted youngsters will need to make a leap in development to compensate for the waning powers of the veterans.

How was it an ambush? Wasn’t like Bevo thru Garnder forward and Naughton back. There was no structural changes from the dogs. It just goes to show how little the media actually knows and how quickly a narrative grows legs with no research. Example, all week we heard about the fleet of Port’s small forwards from the media and how they would run havoc. Seriously, in what world are Motlop and Fantasia better players than Taylor Duryea and Bailey Williams?
Port were pretenders the entire time and no one picked it up.. here's some signs.
Didn't beat any good sides, they hung their hats on beating the Bulldogs by less than a goal as their claim to beating good sides (they only beat them in the last H&A game). They didn't beat anyone else that was good enough to win a premiership.
Played Collingwood, Carlton and Crows twice. How did they get this draw, seeing they finished first the prior year.
The Crows nearly beat Port this year, just let that sink in...
Usually Boak, Gray or Dixon gets them over the line in a close game.. they are too dependent on a select number of players and they are getting older.. also when these guys retire (soon) they will have some massive holes in that team.

Collingwood finished top 6 last year, and Adelaide is compulsory for a double up.
Pre 2021 having say Richmond, West Coast and Collingwood as double ups would have been daunting but at the end of the year they were soft targets.
And the excuse for Carlton?
