One of our better performances but could have been a whole lot better with some better decision making and winning or at least halving some critical one on one contests. We just seem to allow the ball out at times and it kills us. Maybe it's simple strength that means we can't contain the ball or finish of tackles but whatever it is it's hurting us badly at times.

Also every time they kick inside 50 it feels like they will take a mark. We kick inside 50 and you just prey their defender drops the mark or makes an error. We just don't look likely at all to get an easy mark close to goal with the personnel we currently have. Thinking we would be better just kicking grubber balls into space and at a minimum turning it into a contest at ground level.

On paper Port are simply a better side so luck is going to play it's part for us to snatch a win but if the game follows the usual pattern then we'll fall away in the third quarter and it will be game over, need to keep the pressure going for 4 quarters.

He is still a very ordinary coach

How can you judge? You have no idea what he’s even doing. The team is competitive and playing for each other especially as half of them are kids and had no continuity.
Skill errors kill us every week and they are expected at this stage. These guys lack composure which can only come from experience with each other.
Put Taranto and Lynch into this side and we’d be 6 goals up right now.
Look for positives. You’ll go insane otherwise.
