Port Adelaide's plan to use jumpers similar to Collingwood

I think both S.A clubs and their supporters have a massive inferiority complex that goes deep into their football soul.

Because they know fair well that no one outside of S.A gives a rats toss bag about The Power and The Crows.

Even Freo get more attention than you two combined.

You've dribbled plenty of shit in this thread, but no disrespect to our mates at Freo, that statement is utter nonsense.

If the AFL don't come down on Port for this whats stopping them from pulling the same stunt and donning the Prison Bars before the medal presentation after winning a Premiership.
They have more chance of bettering their own recorder sooner than winning another premiership, wonder if they’d still change for that? That’s history and heritage and records and all

First Power wants to wear our jumper, now they also have a boofhead as a president.
Power don't want to wear Collingwood's jumper - they want to wear their jumper. It's pretty easy to tell the difference.

If anything, the Pies have appropriated the Port jumper in the AFLW with the top front panel.

If the two clubs folded over night simultaneously, no would care and the league would continue on as if you were never there in the first place.

Hence why The Power (who are even more dismissed as an irrelevant entity than the Crows) are jumping up and down trying to get noticed as they hopelessly seek validation for an old SANFL jumper.

At least the Crows are just happy they exist and don’t complain too much.
I'm kinda new around here, and I'm Souf Australian so I'm a bit dumber than I look, but I don't need no brain cells to figure you are in need of something to actually do.
Wasn't the Bay created for posters like you?

Collingwood vs Port Adelaide this season is going to have a bit of spice to it, innit? 2 matches this season too. Last time that happened was 2017. It was like the fixturing gods knew there would be a barney between these two clubs for some reason.

I only wish the game in a couple of weeks was in Adelaide, and Port decide to give up 4 points to wear the SANFL singlet. They could still do it for the home game in July/August I suppose. Don't give any warning about it. Collingwood rock up with the away strip and Port wear the SANFL strip.

It would either be a kamikaze death to their aspirations of wearing the SANFL uniform annually, or it tells the AFL what lengths the club will go to do it and the AFL cede for future requests. I doubt they in the business of wanting teams playing matches for nothing. Are the players and supporters that invested in it though? End of day, players want to win premierships and any decision by the club to fu** with that at end of season could lead to mutiny if it fu**s up.

Rd 10 - COLLINGWOOD v PORT ADELAIDE - MCG - Sunday 23 May
Rd 19 - PORT ADELAIDE vs COLLINGWOOD - Adelaide Oval - TBC

Looking forward to them :)

Would be good if Collingwood wore prison bars .

It couldn't be any worse than their attempt at Nothing Else Matters.
They could try and play afl standard football for a start, that's an idea.

Funniest thing is they think playing NTUA prior to the match against us Is a negative but the only purpose it would serve would be to make our players and supporters at the ground feel more at home lol

Collingwood singing in support of the reunification of the Port Adelaide Football Club with the Port Adelaide Magpies Football club and hence getting closer to their black and white, Magpies roots.

Sure thing!

Brisbane celebrate their Fitzroy heritage- okay
Sydney celebrate their south Melbourne heritage- okay

port Adelaide celebrate their SANFL heritage- everyone loses their mind
Huge difference here.

Fitzroy and South Melbourne were foundation clubs of the competition, playing in the VFL's first season in 1897.
Port Adelaide joined the AFL competition 100 years later in 1997 wearing teal, black and white and an official club logo/name of "Port Power". Anything they wore before this has no direct relevance to the history of the VFL/AFL competition itself. Sure it has relevance to the club, which is why Collingwood and the AFL graciously approved it to be worn last year for your 150th anniversary game.
