Port Adelaide's plan to use jumpers similar to Collingwood

Don't chuck it away, just keep it in the SANFL where it belongs.
But they can’t wait to get out of the SANFL.....again.....join the AFL reserves comp where they again won’t be able to be called The Magpies or wear the top of their choice.
Why do you think Koch has The Kochbots worked up over this now?

Everything pre 1997 has nothing to do with the AFL in 2021! It's a SANFL heritage and history. The nobodies hate their modern guernsey, have no modern heritage amd should never have embarked on an AFL journey in the first place. Their home guernsey is fantastic, it's very sad to know the nobodies disagree.
Lmao, so everything pre ‘97 just vanished then? I like the current jumpers we have. Wearing the PB for just the showdowns let’s us have the best of both worlds.

the football club will do whatever it pleases with its own history like every club or association does with its own history. what makes you think a sports club should only celebrate its achievements within a certain league? that doesn't happen anywhere else on the earth in any similar field of life.

you sound like a deranged lunatic mate. every year since 1870 is relevant to Port Adelaide. it's our history. we've played in 3 competitions, why would we forget the history of any of them? obviously your club isn't successful enough for you to care about it's history?

What a load of complete nonsense re our club history.
"Nah, I don't care about your extensive work experience and knowledge, so what if we employed you based on that, it doesn't mean anything to us now because I've worked here for 50 years, you start at the bottom and stay there".

P.s. thanks for yet another reminder that despite their claims the Pies have changed their home strip over the years
The claim is Collingwood has only ever worn black n white stripes.

There has been variations to the stripes along the journey. Who has ever claimed the home strip remains unchanged?

Probably wouldn't wear your old uniform at your new company though

LoL at another woeful Port analogy.

Port is now an employee.

An employee that changed jobs, and wants its old employee of the year awards recognised by new employer, and to be able to wear their old uniform from previous employer when they rock up to the new job, because that was part of their employment history.

And Collingwood is the employee who's been working there for 50 years, and whining to the boss that "you have to do what I say because we were here first", and the AFL is the boss that every time there's a decision it goes and asks "is that ok if we do that, you're not going to be upset are you?"

It is all PAFC heritage, history, and tradition.

We do like our home jumper. We like our 2004 jumper. 2007 not so much, but we acknowledge we wore it and those that did, did the best they could.

We are not looking to dismiss our AFL journey and all those have been a part of it. The PAFC community is grateful and appreciative of (mostly) all those who represented our club and community. The PAFC is a long train with many carriages. Rightly, our AFL carriage is the equivalent of 'first class' and a competition we are proud to compete in. We have many other carriages we are proud of and that make up the train. Some of these carriages were our ‘first class’ in the past. We won’t discard them just because a shiny new carriage has joined the train.

We are not looking to wear it every game. We are not looking to replace our efforts on the AFL. We just want to wear a jumper that represents our football club when it suits us. None of this detracts from the rest of our history. None of this negatively impacts Collingwood.

Probably wouldn't suggest that your old employee has rights that the new one doesn't.
What?
You have jumped the shark.
All clubs produce kits - home, away/clash.

If they want to introduce a special random kit the AFL has to sign off on it.

If North decided they wanted to play in their 1920s style Carlton from the VFA jumpers because they decided this was an important part of their heritage the AFL would tell them to GAGF unless it was part of a heritage themed round, or anniversary etc.

That is what museums, hall of fames, and the Port Club is for.

Your AFL Power jumper represents your football club in the 'first class' AFL competition that you compete in.

You make out as if the other carriages aren't important anymore? They still play in the SANFL every week, in Port's SANFL jumper.

Someone who is insecure may constantly try to show they are smart by pointing out flaws in other people’s opinions. If someone says the sky is blue, the insecure person will not only state that it is green but will reference scientific data to prove they are right and everyone else is wrong. “An insecure person may have the inability to accept another person’s point of view,”

You’ll need them soon, that was shown at the game against the Bulldogs. Hang on to them

Don’t they teach maths in Victorian schools?

We drew 32,787 against Footscray, an interstate team. A week later 4,000 LESS people rocked up to watch them annihilate St Kilda in a Victorian derby.

Tarps are en route.
