Port Adelaide's plan to use jumpers similar to Collingwood

The only AFL club not proud of their AFL affiliation...Nothing, absolutely nothing matters pre 1997 for this club of nobodies!

Great point, never thought about it this way

They have won a premiership, but who are the nobodies exactly? They have a fantastic H&A strip and colours that the Power are not proud of? The prison bars are another club in the SANFL! That was given up the moment they entered the AFL! Now, if the nobodies wish to sell their licence to Tasmania then that's fine also, the state colours of Tassie are Bottle Green, Yellow and Red, no clash there! At the moment the Power is switched off and they don't know where the on switch is located?

Probably wouldn't suggest that your old employee has rights that the new one doesn't.
Actually this is exactly how workplace contracts work. Staff who have been with the company longer may be on different award/agreement under which their existing rights are protected whilst they remain with the company. New staff sign new terms based on the relevant award/agreement they agree to at the time their employment with the company starts.

And shouldn't be used against Collingwood. Grey, Black & white vs black and white. Nice work once again from nuffies at AFL house

We need proper "clash" guernseys, rather than working with limited options

Port should have:
- black V
- white V
- teal V
- and I'm pro the heritage PBs twice a year in SA

Look at that list and Collingwood can still pay their bills... your second on that list and cannot...

Let’s be honest the AFL community in general don’t care about premierships won in a 3rd tier competition...

It's such a shame so many missed out on such great footy in SA and WA, yet feel they are in a position to comment

Meanwhile true football supporters got to enjoy more than one league. I guess that's why they are better informed about the game and its history.

It’s the Port Adelaide Power, not the Port Adelaide Magpies. The AFL club has nothing to do with the SANFL club. Koch is as big of a knob as Eddie.

Shit. That must be confusing for players then when they play for the PAFC in the reserves one week with the Magpies and then play for the PAFC in the league the next week with the Power.

What is that squiggle on the front anyway? Awful, awful. Most new teams get it wrong at the beginning. Freo dumped theirs too but have done well with their update. Port did well updating it with the V's singlet, but then f’ed it with white number panel.

In the 1990s everything traditional was despised, in all realms of life and popular culture. The idea was "progress" at all costs. That is why we got those ridiculous horrid-looking jerseys such as the first Freo, Peel Thunder (WAFL) and Port Adelaide (AFL) jerseys. Fortunately, simpler and clearer jersey designs are back in fashion again. Most ground relocations can be traced to the 1990s too, such as West Perth moving 30 kilometres north to Joondalup.

Woodville-West Torrens never got the 'better update' memo

sh*t. That must be confusing for players then when they play for the PAFC in the reserves one week with the Magpies and then play for the PAFC in the league the next week with the Power.
When the Power came in, you had Port Power listed AFL players who would go back and play for Norwood in the SANFL and actually play against the Port Magpies in the SANFL.

You think they should do away with the bars and magpies moniker in the SANFL?
Well the power came out a couple of weeks ago and basically said they want out of the sanfl altogether if they dont get some things go their way..

I personally would like to see the crows tell the SANFL “see ya” and join the new east coast vic/nsw/qld league too.. go a long way to making it an AFL “reserves” league.

But what that means for port adelaide and the prison bars is anyones guess..

If port take their team out of the SANFL thats the end of the PB’s.. they wont be allowed to wear them anywhere.

Port supporters are absolutely with you on wanting to leave the SANFL behind for a proper reserves league.

It'll be an interesting argument from the AFL if Port and Adelaide joined the VFL given there are already multiple instances of teams having the same colours and mascot in the VFL.

Yes you are right because they were separate clubs back then. Nobody is disputing that (I don't think) - but they have been merged for over 10 years now....
