So then, what is your heritage? Is it prison bars, or is it black, teal, silver and white? Do you not see your current jumper, or your 2004 AFL Premiership jumper, as part of your heritage?
That's the part that I'm genuinely curious about, as even a poster just a few posts back, stated that they brought out their 10 and 20 year Port Power jumpers in 2006 and 2016 respectively - as part of their heritage.
Also, multiple posters here have now stated that teal and silver is part of your heritage now - along with the chevrons - so I guess then it must be about not 'bastardizing' your heritage, would that be right?
Genuinely trying to understand.
Many guernseys and colours are part of our heritage.
The most significant part of our heritage is the black and white prison bars.
We wore them for longest, we had the most success in them, we grew up with them, idolised them, war heroes played in them.
All else pales into insignificance by comparison.
We already have the right to honour all other parts of our heritage BUT the most important bit.
