Just looking at the draw Geelong have a soft run home.
Could easily finish Top 2, I’m convinced this mob will never fall off the Cliff.

Geelong are another Victorian team with a huge home state/ground advantage in a national competition.

Blessed with a home ground whose unique dimensions give them the biggest home ground advantage of any team in the post VFL era, they will have left Victoria 6 times in the H&A season this year. Not forgetting that they have a second training ground with MCG dimensions at Deakin Uni.

And yet there is no other coach in the AFL who whinges about the ‘unfair’ draw more than Chris Scott, especially at finals time.

Hate them with a passion that borders on pathological.

Crowd looking very patchy. No doubt 42k sitting in the top 6 rows of the eastern stand
Just came to post similar, 49,000 yep confirmed.

Most crowds of 70,000+ in a V/@AFL H&A season
14 - 2024 (62 games remaining)
13 - 2023
12 - 2011 2013
11 -
10 - 2010 2019 2018 1995
There is literally only 1 ground on the AFL circuit that holds more than 70k.

So by my rough maths, there have been 35 games at the MCG so far this year…. 40% of them have filled to more than 70%.

AO holds 53k…. How many have been above 70% fulll?
