A song
We've been a bit lethargic over the past month, so we need to play with some bravery, aggression and excitement

30 points our way Moore to kick 3 goals, 2 of them from outside 50.

Only band that gets away with wearing masks is TISM

Ah yay, game day is here!!! Need a huge effort from the lads today, excited to see if Moore can back up his great sanfl game with another one in the big league. As always, carn the pear!!!!!

“I think he’s in for a couple of nights for observation, bit of a stomach bug, bit of gastro — there’s a bit going round the club."
Hocking speaking about Butcher. The latter part of that quote makes me a little concerned.

Who's wearing masks?

As long as his horrendous kicking isn't a symptom of said illness, don't need that around the club

I hate these late Sunday games, 2.30 here in Perth.End up a ball of nerves by bouncedown time.Anyway I think we will send a message today and win by 4-6 goals.Time to get our game going again I feel the bye came at the perfect time for us.

A bit going through the team according to Hocking in the 'tiser today and with the Maggies losing it may have had an effect.

I hope the Power boys are all clear.

I guess if they have gastro their bowels will be clear.

Eh this timeslot sucks. It'll be a great contest, as long as we win I will be happy. Carn boys!

In my opinion, the game could go three different ways:

1. The Fairy-tale Scenario

The boys come back rejuvenated and super-juiced after the break and their run provides too much for Collingwood to handle.
Moore has an outstanding return to AFL collecting around the mid-20's in touches and kicking a few goals, putting his hand up to fill in the tagger place left by Dom and locking his place in our best 22. Wingard and Ebert return to form, with Chad kicking a bag, Ebert collecting 40+ disposals at 90%+ efficiency, and Bobby blanketing Cloke. Monfries has a day out with not having to worry about having Heath Shaw up his pants every 5 minutes, and Ollie Wines seems to have a thing for playing well against Collingwood.

Port win by 5+ goals in our comeback game and return to form.

2. The Realistic Scenario

The boys come back somewhat re-energized but still have a few little rough and sloppy patches here and there. Bobby provides some leadership and composure for the back boys but the position of Trengrove is still dearly missed. Wingard has a few good moments, kicks a goal or two, but doesn't return to AA-form. Ebert plays somewhat better, but not at his best nor at what we would expect from him. Boak will be BOG with 35 touches in a desperate performance by the skipper. Robbie and Schulz won't be far behind and Moorey will play well enough to secure his spot in the team.

Port win by 9 points in a thriller that still has many critical Port fans not convinced.

3. Doomsday Scenario

We lose. Cloke kicks a bag, Pendlebury gets 40+, Ebert is sloppy, Wingard does nothing, Moorey can't get it started - ugh.

I just hope the boys have regrouped and we can really give it a crack. Port by 14 (I hope)

Actually Crows losing is to our advantage. This game isn't as desperate. Anyway we should be fierce and more desperate. We have a lot more up for grabs now. 4th spot is there for the taking

Really hoping we belt the Pies today. Little bit sick of hearing people say we're not a contender anymore. We'd be doing the Crows a huge favour with a convincing win today.

At the hotel overlooking the MCG, its minus 15 outside but clear. Pumped for this one, good team on paper + break hopefully a good showing from the boys

Well the season definer is upon us. Collingwood played last week, we had the week off. We've brought in one of our key two backmen. The weather is meant to be sunny and Collingwood have lost pace from an already slow side. And the training load is meant to have been eased off.

If we can't come out and beat the Pies well, in weather that suits our gameplan, with less break and in worse form than we've been without the justifications (not excuses) then our season is cooked. Simple as that.

I see your point. If Collingwood lose they will only be percentage behind, not percentage+1 as it would have been if the cows had won. And they have 2 games coming up that they would hope to win. But as has been seen, nothing can be pencilled in. They'll be just as eager to win this as any other game. They have to approach every game assuming the cows or Gold Coast are going to keep winning. And of the three teams Collingwood are the only one who play a top 4 team in the run home.

Technically they play two top 4 teams. They play Hawthorn in the last round and the Dockers have such a bad run home that the predictor has us 4th even if we lose to Sydney and the Dockers. Although there would be very little percentage in it so even just a 30-point loss could tip the scales.
