Is Rat the sub? Surly they won’t go 4 talls and surely plan A is not play him back as there is no one for him to play on. He is quite versatile and can cover a lot of positions. Or maybe we do something nuts like make Dixon the sub to come on at 3/4 time to ruck the last quarter.

Or will it be our usual plan with the sub - to replace one rubbish small forward with another one in the last quarter.

Weve played 4 talls for a lot of the year

We will win, then the club will shit it's pants.
Crickets from the club all year and that's because they don't have to say anything, the coach is contracted for 2025.
They are gutless, they resigned him when they didn't have to so why now while he's contracted.
It always should have been said by the club, it's a GF or nothing.
Port by 27 points.

Not often you get a win-win game in a final, but here we are.

Although, if a win secures Ken for next year, it would be a much greater loss than losing the game tonight.

Hawthorn really are a very small team. The bomb it on Charlie’s head 15m out, actually might be a masterstroke strategy by Ken.

Charlie to kick 5.
Funny you should say that, thought exactly the same thing as they walked past me at the arrivals gate yesterday.

Had the same feeling when I picked St Kilda up from the airport in Gather Round.

I've been calling a honourable loss for a while.

The only things going for us are:

the young Hawk might find the lights too bright
the team usually bounces back emotionally from a loss
our form has been good for quite a while and last week was an aberration

The bad things against us:

apart from last week, we've been in good form but the Hawks are red hot
no run and kick out of defence. Houston, Farrell and Burton gone.
Rozee and Butters are down on form
our forward line is a mess save Georgiades and Rioli
their biggest strength is our biggest weakness that is their small forward brigade
no plan B
the Hornet will have to save the day
if we are down early, the crowd could get medieval

If the players want Hinkley gone, they will play below par.
I think the Hawks will run over us sometime in the second or third quarter and the game will be over.
There is a possibility of Butters, Dixon, Marshall and Aliir limping to the bench.

It is going to be a tough match to win but you never know.
