Why would we want to trade Corey for Dal Santo? If corey goes i reckon he will head back to perth, and the Eagles better give us at least their first round pick, and maybe the other selwood.

My thoughts on the warnock trade...
This is just speculative but I'll detail my thoughts...
Melbourne will lose more than 4 players at the end of this season...
Holland, Neitz, Yze to retire
Weetra + others to be delisted.

I also believe Fremantly will finish at 14 and Melbourne at 15, with fremantle missing out on a priority pick...
I also have port finishing between 13th.

Melbourne to give port adelaide Mark Jamar and Daniel Bell.... Jamar and Bell are both SA boys in their early-mid 20's with jamar being the older at 24, with Lade soon to retire Jamar would step in to be the second ruck behind brogan, Bell might not be the best fit, as port have a few players of his type, but melbourne will look to palm him off...

Thoughts?

Well thought through - but I think you're overrating what Port would be able to offer for Jamar and Bell. You won't see a second round pick for them. Picks will be (over)rated this year, so Port won't be giving away pick 20 or so.

You my friend are a joke there is no way we would give you our first round pick and any Selwood considering this is a super draft....so F#*!*k off.

Tiger fans, how about Beau Dowler for Richard Tambling? Both top 6 picks. Both young. Both a bit disappointing. The only difference is that we need more midfielders and you need more tall forwards. I can't see Dowler getting a game at Hawthorn anytime soon, especially with Mitch Thorp also in the wings.

No Tambling is an established midfielder and Dowler cant even get a kick at VFL level.
What about Tambling and White for Thorp?

Your a tool!
how many times have we heard super draft been thrown around. Every year is a super draft. And i think your over-estimating draft picks as they are no certainties to be stars.

How old are you?

If you react that strongly to opinions you better keep off the 'net.

I don't think we should trade Mundy at all. In the right team he'll be a very good player. Still think that team can be Freo.

Melbourne won't trade davey, they need him for his marketability, remember we(melbourne) are a struggling club, and we need our flash players to bring people through the gates.
That said I would'nt mind picking up harris and north's second pick for davey...

Port adelaide to give melbourne their second and third round picks... IMO bell and jamar are both worth late 2nd round picks...

Fremantle to give Melbourne Warnock... If Warnock wants to leave, Melbourne is as good a place as any, with his brother looking to get a regular game for the while.

Melbourne to give Fremantle Port's second and Nathan Carroll... if they get port's picks they would be able to trade it on, Nathan Carroll is a WA boy, and would be able to fit into a Fremantle defence as a second/ third tall who can accumulate possesions.

This would result in Melbourne having picks 2, 18(priority), 20, 38 and Warnock
Fremantle picks 3, 21, 22, 37 and Carroll
Port picks 4... then their next at their 4th round, daniel bell and mark jamar.

This would mean Melbourne take watts at #2 as they get warnock,
And freo to take Naitanui at #3..

Also if freo manages to get a priority which IMO they won't, then it looks a little more reasonable.
Looking back looks a bit iffy, obviously I've favoured melbourne.
But if you swap the picks a little, it doesn't look to bad...

Thoughts?

That's a reasonable suggestion but Fremantle already had Carrol before delisting him in 2001, perhaps a different player. Maybee Slyvia and your third rounder;)

The problem with the trade is that melbourne win too much and port lose too much. Why would port want Jamar and Bell? They don't need either player and the same for Fremantle with Carrol.

Wow. Sooky much?

and yeah, "super draft" first of heard of that about this year. the draft at the end of 06 was one. the one with judd and ball and hodge was, but those are rare. this one? havent heard that term be used once by anyone who is credible.

There seems to be a alot of trade talk at the moment, so I thought I would package up some deals. Anyone got any good ones or thoughts.

Brisbane - sherman, selwood and brennan to carlton for Fevola.

St.kilda dal santo to geelong - corey to eagles and eagles give number 3 pick to saints

Brisbane johnathan brown to collingwood for d thomas, pendlebery, n brown and there first 2 trades

A star for 2 players who barley crack best 22 and an inconsistant player

pick tree for a 28 year old , ur dreaming

Seaby + McKinley for Walker + 2nd round ????/

would give carlton a ruckman and a good forward to help out fev

or

Seaby + Mckiney +PP (18/19) for fev

i wouldnt be to happy with that as i want youth but it coud happen

And I was worried about posting an offer of a third rounder for Russell. :D

A shame people don't think before posting on the draft board.

i like crack too! you honestly think that joel corey is worth Pick 1/2 plus scott selwood in one of the strongest top 5 pick drafts of all time??? Corey would go for our PP if you are lucky. He is old and is not as good as his stats and form suggest. Geelong make him look A grade, but he is just a good clearance player.

i could see geelong being interested in hunter as he would provide a KP defense option if egan or scarlett goes down, and is more than capable up forward, giving mooney a partner at CHF. Great contested mark and athletic, would be great with geelongs delivery.
Hunter + P36 for Pick 16

or

Hunter for Prismall

Seaby+Hansen to carlton for Walker + 2nd round.
Gives carlton hansen, who would help fev as he would lead up the ground at CHF, as honestly, carlton are only a premiership threat while fev is still playing. Seaby would lift the huge load on kreuzer and allow him to move forward more often. Is still young and is better than this years form suggests (watch the games he played when cox was injured). Carltons midfield is stocked and walker isnt getting oppurtunities, and his pace is just what we need.

Why is it Eagles fans keep saying its a strong draft this year? where are they gettin this from? just wishful thinkin? guess if your gonna tank, u should talk it up a bit.

Umm... no. I wouldn't take Jamar for free, definitely not for a second round pick. Bell is decent but not worth it.
