I think you'll find he has a prize of some sorts named after him...possibly in recognition of the Davis and first rounder for the GWS mini pick and Brown trade...the Swiss were ever so impressed by it

And doesn't it give you the irits when even some of our own supporters keep calling him "Nobel" instead of Noble.....it's not as though he's a newcomer...

It was only 6 months ago so many people were poo pooing over getting Toumpas. Now the Power want him and suddenly he's good enough to get in.
Don't want, has been found wanting many many times, can't polish a turd.
Just because he was a high draft pick... anyone remember Beau Dowler? Mitch Thorp? Kane Tenace

Those scoop passes he does off the ground are just ridiculous.

I want him! We'll even free up the number 11 guernsey for him if he likes.

I said it earlier in this thread, I get that he has baggage - I understand that it all might end in tears ... but whichever team lands him will have one hell of an upside. He is the target worth risking it for.

Redhorse is just blue balling everyone.

Seriously some of you need to come down. One mention of a big fish and its meltdown. Even if we are talking to one there is a big difference to landing one.

In the history of our club we have landed one big fish and his name was D Jarman. Chances of us landing one that's not even been mentioned is remote.

We are going to get 2-3 players and none of them will be guns.

I've wanted him back for years.

I think for what he has delivered - he will be over-priced and a fair risk. What have you seen that makes you think he is elite in anything at AFL level? I'm genuinely asking because I have only seen someone who looks out of their depth.

Getting a player after he has not panned out from a top draft pick very rarely works out. Getting players that show what you want in the field of battle is a much safer and more reliable bet than using the draft position as some sort of measure. Use the draft to go for speculative talent - for sure - but use trades to improve your list.

He's been injured, he's still very young, and he's struggled to settle in Melbourne. Melbourne have been deplorable at developing young talent, which has to be taken into account.

There are numerous examples of young stars battling in poor teams, and thriving in good ones (and I know the reverse applies). Look at Polec.

He's a young, lightly built (has improved) outside player in a team that never wins the inside ball, rarely gets it into open space, and has generally had terrible on field structuring and ball movement.

He was incredibly good at SANFL level, as a kid, and if they want a second round, it's a low cost for a potentially huge return.

If we can indeed lure Menzel and he stays on the park he has all the earmarks of a gun even if it is only currently based on potential.

Agree what I meant by that is a current gun.

More than happy to bring in quality kids who can kick.

Nathan Jones and Bernie Vince both get plenty of inside ball, it's blokes like Toumpas on the outside that are the problem....soft!!

Just read on the Richmond board that the club described Bennell as the " king of bad boys"... Sounds like he just can't pull his head in..
