Another positive is big ben brown. Apart from a couple of games, he always seems to make the most of his opportunities, very efficient hardworking and effective footballer.

Thompson played his best game in a very long time, I was getting worried.

I'm not sure I have ever disliked a North player as much as Jarrod Waite. At least make it look like you're trying while you're busy spudding it up!

That's because he is still a Carton player. Dal Santo is a Kangaroo and Higgins is already a Kangaroo, but Waite just doesn't feel apart of the team.

How should we approach Sydney next week? Normally I would want Waite dropped after his performance but on the fast track at Etihad we probably need the 3 talls to stretch to Swans defence.

Couldn't be happier for Loose, he played a really good game.

Our midfield has issues, but the biggest problem we have is a lack of confidence and a lack of taking the game on with aggressive foward play, when we do that we look a lot better than when we don't. Hopefully the win injects some confidence.

Hard fought wins are just about the most satisfying. Some character shown by the boys today. Hoping, without yet expecting, this will be a turning point in attitude.

Did enjoy watching the way the wind played havoc. Took me back to school footy days. Some funny moments.

A slap for the umpires....it's like they are given instructions to look after the pretty boys (NicNat, Kennedy) and murder the bad boys (LT).

Shout outs to Crocks (1 for 1 as coach in 2015), captain JZ, Higgins, BBB, Dish work around the ground, JMac and Goldy in the 2nd half, Basti, Froggy's attack on the contest and decision making, SMac solid return, Boomer showing some of the hunger again, and Nahas on 100 games and great encouragement from the bench in the last.

And the bureau of meteorology...80% chance of rain my arse....hang your heads in shame boys....it was a perfect day for footy with a gentle breeze off the Derwent.

Surely if Gibson/Waite were put on notice last week they will get dropped this week. Daw has to come in otherwise it's clear the club is preventing media exposure to him because of the trial.

Would love Mullett/Daw in.. They will probably bring Lmac/Atley back in which I hate. If you get dropped you should have to dominate the VfL and show you belong at that level
