Just because I'm interested, did you follow Box Hill prior to the alignment? I know it's been 20 years, but I'm curious how many Hawks supporters already followed the Mustangs when they linked up.

Yep sure did. I used to live across the road from City Oval and I played for Box Hill in the Under 12s Brandella Cup (got a 1984 Premiership windcheater as "payment" - my son wore it to the 2018 VFL Grand Final). I was stoked when Hawthorn and Box Hill aligned.

AFL - West Coast
NHL - Calgary Flames
NBA - Houston Rockets
MLB - Houston Astros
NFL - Houston Texans

Spent considerable time living in both Houston and Calgary and was a season ticket holder with the Rockets when Olajuwan was still playing. Also lucky enough to be in Calgary during the Flames playoff run in ~2014 (or 2015). That was an experience - NHL playoffs in a hockey obsessed city is madness.

Essendon
Bayern Munich
AC Milan
Tottenham Hotspur & Bolton Wanderers
NE Patriots
Boston Celtic
Boston Red Sox
Mercedes Benz/McLaren (F1)
Melbourne Rebels
German Football team
French Rugby team

Love tennis as well, but have no allegiance to any given player.

AFL - Essendon
NRL - Storm
BBL - Hurricanes
NBA - Chicago Bulls, but because they have been sh!t even longer then Essendon really starting to like Dallas and Doncic
MotoGP - Ducati or whatever Jack Miller is mounting
Horseracing - Anything running in Lloyd Williams colours

I generally try to find some tangible reason to support a team if I start following a particular sport or league:
AFL Hawthorn (grew up in Hawthorn's recruiting zone and played as a junior in Hawthorn colours, but the real reason was simply I was watching the 83 grand final when I was 5, and just decided I liked the Hawks better than the Bombers for some unknown reason).
WAFL Perth (Grandfather grew up in Victoria Park close to Lathlain, and they're the perennial underdogs)
SANFL Glenelg (Second cousin John Fidge played for them, but that didn't mean I supported Melbourne when he played for them, I was already a Hawk)
VFA/VFL Casey/Springvale (Started to support Springvale when they were successful and on tv a lot in the 80's, switched to Traralgon when they came as I'm from West Gippsland, and then back to Casey/Springvale when Traralgon dropped out)
EPL Arsenal (Best mate in England supported them and we toured the ground)
EFL League 1 Bristol Rovers (Lived in Bristol and started out supporting Bristol City, but a workmate took me to a Bristol Rovers game and from then on in I was a Gashead)
NBL Perth Wildcats (Grew up as a North Melbourne Giants supporter, but when they folded couldn't support the Tigers/Magic, and since living in Perth the Wildcats are big over here, and it just soaks in (after 12 years here I have a bit of a spot of the Eagles too, but don't tell my parochial Victorian mates)

Richmond
Melbourne Storm & Penrith Panthers
South East Phoenix & Melbourne United
Melbourne Renegades
Melbourne Victory
NRL SoO: QLD

New York Jets
New Orleans Pelicans
New York Islanders
Tottenham Hotspurs
The majority of the Australian national teams in different sports.

Some of those are really lose associations that I barely follow.

Why would anyone else's sporting team preferences bother me? Everyone's free to support who they want...
Because I have had other Port supporters argue with me that if you don't go for both the Power and the Magpies you are not really a Port supporter. If you don't fall in to that category, that is all good.

Ill do a serious one this time, rather than a troll one (taking the team with the most titles in each league)
