Looks a bit too netballish. The teal doesn't help.

Still think Collingwood should have an all-white jumper with three or four vertical black pin stripes spaced over the front.[/quote]

Err....we already wear that as an away strip against some teams.

P.S. I think the port guernsy looks shithouse as do all the "modern" designs. Call me a traditionalist, but anything other than stripes, sashes, hoops, vees, yolks and insignias is going to be mocked by future footballing generations.

Don't really like the new collar. I also reckon it would have looked better without the middle teal bit and with the black and teal lightning bolts going directly from the shoulder to the opposite hip and less curvy. If that makes sense? So more of a sharper lightning bolt in other words. Wasn't sure about the teal back but it's growing on me, don't mind it. Makes it a bit different from other all white clash jumpers. Will have to see it on the field before i make a proper judgment.

I give it a pass mark for a clash strip. What I don't understand is why having the back completely teal it does not make much logic from a "team" point of view. Much more sensible to have a back consistent with the fron in colours I would have thought. The lightning bolts are not very striking.

i dont understand it either. what this guernsey does well is display 2 different designs on the same guernsey, effectively distinguishing it from itself. north's new one does the same. as you say, make it the front and back the same. but as usual, there aint any sense or logic from the AFL or its clubs when it comes to the issue of match-day uniforms. the AFL have no balls to implement tougher regulations, and the clubs will do what suits themselves.

and more a point of taste but piss off these little mascot designs which look as though its the best work from the local daycare. mascots and the like would be better served on a logo fixed/printed on the guernsey, not as the actual design of the guernsey.

port had it right against collingwood back in 2003 imo......and it was only a training guernsey. with white shorts and teal socks, it does the trick with a basic design.

I agree with just a simple design such as the 03 clash strip would work fine but i don't think 09's is bad. Going from almost completely white to almost completely teal is a bit weird if you ask me but WTH at least it doesn't look like an Argentinian soccer guernsey like ours kind of does.

All clash jumpers should be white. Or Fluro Green:D.

I ahte clash jumpers and find the concept in AFL flawed, but it is a good one.

I think the teal with white numbers may make the numbers hard to read at the gound though. Like the 1870 (designed to stand out) they should of been made black.

I guess they have their priorities. Wont know who has the ball but will know when the club was established ;)

Squiggly lighting bolt (I assume that's what it is) on the front ruins it for me, hate overcomplicated shit like that. Other than that pretty decent, a lot better than their previous clash.

geezus.

what is the AFL's obsession with sailor boy outfits ?

for a club that is in dire straits of the field - they certainly not going to win over any new members with that ****y piece.

I think the front is good but the back sort of flies in the face of the whole clash guernsey concept I think.

Which clubs will they wear it against?

Hopefully only one or two games that our normal jumper clashes with. I hate the fact that "clash" jumpers have turned into away jumpers despite there being no clashes. No club wants to wear their clash/away jumper in a GF.

What colour does teal clash with? I don't understand why people say this goes against the concept of a clash jumper. Isn't it about non clashing colours rather than a clash jumper having to be all white?

Anyway part of me thinks a bullshit jumper is appropriate for a bullshit concept like a clash jumpers. It's the AFL executives being blind as bats and colour blind that we have this rubbish. There are probably about 5 genuine jumper clashes in the 120 possible jumper clash combinations between the 16 clubs.

All white or near all white is crap for any club. It is meaningless and belongs to soccer where you have 8 red, 6 blue and 4 yellow teams in each major league.
