Assuming it is 22 + 1 sub, I hope to see:

FB: Wilkie, Howard, Webster
HB: Sinclair, Battle, Coffield
M: Hill, Crouch, Wood
HF: Gresham, Sharman, Phillipou
FF: Owens, Caminiti, Butler
R: Marshall, Steele, Windhager
Int: Ross, Clark, Byrnes, Bytel
Sub: Higgins
Em: Campbell, Cordy, Paton

Billings obviously injured, NWM I thought I heard was injured?,
Stocker, Cordy, Paton, Peris: wasnt that impressed with and I dont reckon should be in consideration for Rd.1
Van Es, Adams, Highmore, Heath: all played well but depth

Would have liked a way to give Campbell a run but has had very interrupted pre-season and given it is AFl structured not sure you can carry him in for this. Would prefer to give Sharman, Caminiti, Owens a go up fwd to see who plays Rd.1 as Cordy and Howard didnt impress against Melb.

Sub was between Higgins and Byrnes, thought Byrnes had a better game against Melb so gets the nod.

In: NWM, Higgins
Out: Clark, Coffield

Think I'd happily make Coffield sub, working his way back.

Clark needs a real good kick up the clacker AFAIC. Atrocious in the first 4 quarters on Friday.

Was overseas yesterday but will get down for this one. A proper game this time so we will get a better idea on a lot of what we think could be issues from yesterdays game.

I don't really know what to make of the club these days and haven't seen anything yet to fill me with any confidence that Ross & co actually know what they are doing. Lets hope we see something on Friday.

Gotta little Liotta thing happening….

It will be important to try to get a vibe going heading into round one. It feels like we're really up against it with all the injuries, but I feel we'll be chomping at the bit to beat Freo.

The interesting line will be forward. Billings is a big loss. I'd like to see Sharman get a run. Membrey should be there for round one which slightly eases my anxiety.

I'm interested to see if Clark gets a run this week. Will need to do plenty more to make the round one side.

I don't know how our side will look on paper , but I feel Wood will be playing as a key forward with Sharman until King gets back - Caminiti shows promise but I doubt he will get a start , but then again who knows.

I reckon Essendon would have looked at our game on Friday and will be putting the quickest team they can field on the ground. We looked slow and clunky in the midfield and forward half. We do need a lot of energy at ground level in the forward line, so Butler and Higgins need to rev up a gear to support Sharman

NWM only out as i thought he was injured. Otherwise Clark probably is the one who misses out.

This game isn't for points, I think they will be fielding the team and game plan that they believe can take them as deep as possible.

Same as what saints will be doing

B: Wilkie, Howard, Webster
HB: Sinclair, Battle, Stocker/Clark
C: Hill, Crouch, Wood
HF: Phillipou, Owens, Windhager
F: Butler, Cordy, Higgins
R: Marshall, Steele, Gresham
Int: Byrnes, Paton, Campbell, Stocker/Clark

Based on Friday’s line up I think we will see something similar to this, hoping Sharman/Caminiti get a crack.

I hope that isn't our forward line

Campbell ruck, Marshall forward would make sense to me. Someone needs to support mitchito down in forward line. I still have higgins in my best 22. Not sure on coffield and Clark. Both are best 22 imo. But Clark isn’t playing like it and Coffield is coming back from what is a serious injury.

He came off the field limping. The announcers said it was leg knock so perhaps just a corky.
If that's the case they'd probably rest him for Friday. He's basically already got a spot round one anyway.
