No idea. I only know it was the first lap cause it says in the clubs description of the video.

Cant be too harsh on Acres.
Running along side Holmes aint easy. Theres a constant tripping hazzard to worry about

Seemed like there was quite a few missing, particularly senior players. No Gears (he would have won), couldn't spot Billings and didn't see any of Fisher, Goddard, Roo (obviously) to name a few.

Newnes looks like he has really stepped up in stamina this pre season doesnt he.
Gears might have a challenger to the title

You can see Geary and three other players standing by the side of the track in the photos of Newnes, Dempster, and Weller. I think one of the others is Markworth, but someone with a keener eye might pick the others.

Would be wrapped if I was wrong on this, although I still think Gears would be extremely tough to beat. He normally wins pretty comfortably. Either way, Newnes appears to have made significant fitness gains this pre-season. He clearly takes his footy very seriously. Can't wait to see what he produces this year.

I could maybe understand going to him for some speed. But not for endurance

im not saying its make or break for Ross this yr.
But he does need to step up.
Good signs that he seems fitter than previous yrs.

As alluded to in an earlier post, Geary didn't run due to high fire danger risk in Victoria. He is clearly the hottest competitor at the club over this and the 3 km runs. Wise move by the club to let Newnes and others taste success and not to be demoralised by being almost lapped by Geary.
