Really hope to see Tom Clurey get a consistent go this year. Rarely ever beaten one on one and can play on Small, Mediums and Talls. Last year against the Bulldogs, he kept Stringer goal less and under 5 touches by half time. Crameri has kicked 5 so Ken moved Clurey to Crameri and Crameri was goal less in the second half. The next game he was dropped. What more does the kid have to do?

oh really? where?

PORT Adelaide’s Sam Colquhoun is embarking on a scene change with the running defender and midfielder spending time learning the craft of a forward.
Colquhoun has been on the fringe of the side since he was first recruited in 2013 pre-season draft but he has several attractive attributes, among them his great running capacity and the defensive aspect of his game.
Power coaching director Shaun Hart said he was the only player on Port Adelaide’s list who was likely to make a major positional move ahead of next season and the coaches have been impressed by his efforts.
“He’s learning the trade of a half forward,” Hart said. “He’s probably the only one who’s developed a bit of a different role, to use what he’s got in his run and chase and tackle in a different role.

Clurey's just unlucky enough to play a position that we have great depth in. He's trying to beat his way past a 10 year full back, a team leader who can pinch hit all over the ground and one of the best young centre half backs in the league who could easily have been AA last year. He'll make it in time but if he wants to play at AFL level consistently at Port he may need to be patient.

Clurey has alot to learn about positioning and team defence, but he has certainly got talent and one-on-one ability.

As for the team with lobbe wins comment, they are probably overstating the importance of ruckman and the influence Lobbe has had around the ground historically.

So looks like
Charlie Dixon (Inj knee)
Jay Schulz (Apparent management - likely unknown injury)
Nathan Krakouer (Apparent management - likely unknown injury)
Logan Austin (Shoulder reco recovery)
Billy Frampton (Inj Foot)
Dan Houston (Inj Hip/groin, hopefully not OP)

Team lineups something like:

Black
FF: 20. Chad Wingard , 11. John Butcher , 3. Jake Neade
HF: 40. Aaron Young , 14. Paul Stewart , 37. Jesse Palmer
C: 18. Jimmy Toumpas , 7. Brad Ebert , 15. Karl Amon
HB: 13. Cam O’Shea , 17. Tom Clurey , 8. Hamish Hartlett
FB: 33. Darcy Byrne-Jones , 36. Jack Hombsch , 29. Jasper Pittard
R: 32. Dougal Howard , 41. Brendon Ah Chee , 1. Travis Boak
INT: 38. Anthony Biemans , 45. Louis Sharrad , 43. Jonathan Ross, 2. Keanu Miller 42. Jack Cooper

Teal
FF: 31. Aidyn Johnson , 38. Luke Reynolds , 3. Robbie Young
HF: 30. Sam Colquhoun , 39. Justin Westhoff , 19. Matt White
C: 21. Jared Polec , 46. Sam Gray , 2. Kane Mitchell
HB: 5. Matthew Broadbent , 12. Jackson Trengove , 26. Riley Bonner
FB: 42. Tom Jonas , 27. Alipate Carlile , 24. Jarman Impey
R: 23. Matthew Lobbe , 16. Ollie Wines , 9. Robbie Gray
INT: 34. Will Snelling, 44. Cam Hewett , 47. Zac Hawkins , 40. Tom Gray, 41. Tom Corcoran,
Team Teal with Lobbe in ruck and Polec and White for speed, plus Carlile and Trengove has enough to cover a weaker forward line then Black. Not a big enough difference between sides that it should be a blow out though.

Can't wait for the post match reviews! Really keen on Polec, S.Gray, Arch and Snelling

I have an injured leg so can't get down. Hope you can fill us in later.

I just injured my dick from explosive phalic pressure as a result of thinking of polec's return.

I am still going.

This time last year, I wrote a post saying that Ah Chee was ready to explode based on nothing but a gut feel.
This year, I don't have a gut feel about anyone in particular. I reckon we'll just come back in great shape.

On the other hand, it's so difficult to choose. Toumpas is an interesting one.

I'm going to go with Jesse Palmer to have an amazing break out year, and Will Snelling to debut and play well.
I'm going with Dixon to kick 75 goals.

I want Clurey to do well this year but I have seen him beaten one on one many times especially playing for the maggies.

The team with Matt Lobbe will probably win.
Nope they got smashed, lol.

Had a mixed game did Lobbe, kicked a goal & won his share of hit outs but they obviously weren't Ryder-esque efficient.

It was pretty surprising how badly the teal team got beaten considering they had their fair share of talent.

Liked the look of Howard, think we've got another gem from GWS there.
