INB4 someone comes in and tells us we just can't cope with crtitcism towards our own team.

There's a different between legit criticism and attacking a team just because you don't like them, Cornes falls into the second bracket.
Cornes looks like a tanned 80 year old pair of arse cheeks

Yes but they are fairly damning stats. The metres gained thing is something that has all of us up in arms all last year. Chip kick sideways, Brandon Ellis in particular. I actually think Cotchin straightened up a lot in the second half on the year, but don't expect the media to notice. Running around the back of players to get a kick is crap, just slows everything down and takes away any impetus that the player with the ball has, a bit like hand balling to the bloke with his back to the play instead of taking the game on and looking 60 metres down the field. Don't get me started on that one. But the good news is that is all going to change this year.... isn't it.

I think Cornes has a point. Our two prime midfielders last year were looking for the easy possession in the back half and weren't as damaging as they should be. It is true. However, that was just as much the gameplan's fault as Martin and Cotchin's.

Almost completely the game plan. Ellis was a gut running line breaking long kicking wingman in his first years before Handwick decided to overcomplicate things. Now he's struggling best 22. And I have little hope for him as a half back because if you reckon Houli is weak defensively... (remember Ellis's free kick on Giansiracusa late in the final quarter 2014 to lose the match, a shocker.

We need to be like the club that had the Wasps mascot.

Thats how the oppos play against us,like the last game on Earth.

Reading between the lines I don't think Caracella was too impressed with the joint when he rocked up.

He mentions that they started from absolute basics, and are adding detail now.

Specifically mentioning Caddy fitting in, coming from a strong program (potentially inferring we had a weak program).

I don't take offence by this, I am actually buoyed.

Seems a serious, attention to detail character.

Welcome buddy.
