Tom at CHF and Gaz at FF?

Great news. It's what a lot of us have predicted. This was always on the cards at some point as his body is unlikely to get through another full season as a full time mid. I think he will be pretty effective up forward and we will be a bit less predictable with him and Hawkins there. He has shoulder issues but he's just so creative and clever, he'll manage it. Add Rohan and Dahlhaus as pressure players who can lock the ball in and apply pressure and this forward line is all of a sudden very exciting and a bit different. I can't wait to see how it works.

Lets see if he plays more than 15 games for the year if he is playing forward... certainly will get more contact. Perhaps the low grading of his performance in the B&F let him know that his play in 2018 was not that highly valued...

This is a GEELONG FOOTBALL club thread so I don't expect but demand all of us to 100% support this great club and their teams (AFL, AFLW & VFL), if you dont then at least just stfu!

I have the supreme confidence that Gaz will be named on a flank/playing high half forward type role. It's the role in modern footy that he's perfectly suited for.

Rather Selwood up forward more. Prolong his career, and would be beneficial when he gets a tag.

Joel will probably end up spending some time playing as a loose/7th defender off half back ala Hodgey as he gets older. They tried it a little bit last season.

I would also like that too. Those last couple of games where we flogged Freo and GC he spent time out of the MF and we looked pretty good.

I did not bring up nor frankly wanted to talk about aflw in this thread, I said in what I said due to the negative comments surrounding aflw and by extension, aflw geelong. U and some others didnt say something like that when it was first brought up, a simple move it to the designated/appropriate thread rather than bashing women's football and our aflw team would have sufficed!

Firstly, nobody was denigrating women's football and secondly, nobody was tying it to left wing politics.
