Cavka was a serious foot injury though which are difficult and career threatening.
Chesser ankle injury must have been bad though to be out this long if it takes another six months to settle so be it .

Darling also had a similar injury in 2015 which everyone forgets about. He was fine and has hardly missed any games since (except for that ankle injury in 2018).

There is a strong correlation with Darling having a longer term injury and us making the GF.

I daresay Darling has lost a yard or two of pace since those though - remember he used to be pretty quick. Granted he's bulked up and plays the sort of game where he doesn't need to be lightning quick but that was Chessers standout attribute (speed/endurance combo). Know it's very pessimistic to think this way, feel like I've been conditioned into it by eagles injuries

I am not a Dr or do I know what the injury details are, but a week after surgery to re attach a shoulder tendon I am a min of 9 month away for serious work overhead. Great surgeon and support team and a great second opinion - but not a magician in sight. Perspective.

Wait until next year when they try to make him into their key forward. He will fail (as he's a ruck forward) and become a classic Freo whipping boy.

Will be traded back to Melbourne in 5 years.
