Where's that sarcasm emoticon when you most need itThis preseason has been so suspenseful. If we make finals or not, i expect it to be spectacular
12 months ago i was full of hope and expectation, Now I feel dead inside, with an understanding that something, good or bad, is coming and I'm powerless to do anythingWhere's that sarcasm emoticon when you most need it
I pine for 12 months ago when Ned Flanders was training the house down
We are all in optimism land right now but I keep coming back to this realisation. Dimma maintains we are only 20% off being a great team. With Jed now injured, Rogers' back injury an unknown quantity, Ethan being not quite ready - we have only Will Graham to make up that 20%. Looks like our opening round side will look much the same as last year's final game side. It would be a disaster if Richmond were to beat us in that opening round. Ben King no guarantee yet either given he's not at full training level. That key back man we've been missing for years may still come back to haunt - but I'm praying hard for a new look game plan and wins on the board.12 months ago i was full of hope and expectation, Now I feel dead inside, with an understanding that something, good or bad, is coming and I'm powerless to do anything
Yeah, forget draftees. Finals push has to come from internal growth. IMO, we underperformed in the last 2 years, especially the last year. Just hope that Dimma arrival improves mental aspects, confidence. On the other hand, I suspect it will take some time to imbed a new plan. Even Drummond said that.Don't think a bunch of 18 year olds were ever meant to be our saviours this year ( although walter isn't your average 18 year old). Our biggest chance to climb the ladder this year is the improvement from guys like king, luko, ballard, Rowell, Anderson, Flanders, Andrew, Humphrey, Jeffery, rosas. There's a group there with some good amount of games under their belt ready to become serious players. If they can all improve and witts and miller can stay fit there's enough reason to believe in an immediate rise.
Wonder if a season like GWS had last year is more likely, no good early, then came home with a wet sail.Yeah, forget draftees. Finals push has to come from internal growth. Powell all aus if he can stay on the park this year.Powell return iwould be massive for us and if and when Weller
Maybe some Rosas magic x factor this year ?
Anderson is elite.Someone has to have a breakout year this year, we have too much talent not to see an Anderson, Flanders, Powell, Mac become elite
If he stays fit and we win 12+ games he wins the BrownlowAnderson is elite.
If he was playing for a vic club the fawning over him would be incredible.
