Liked the report over on PRE heavy focus on getting the ball through the corridor and missed kicks are treated as instant turnovers. Sounds like Yze is drumming it into the players that good kicking skills are a non negotiable

Love to hear it. Our kicking skills were literally the worst in the competition last year.

thinkin maybe dimmo's fear of losing sent a parasympathetic wave through the group and suddenly every kick was a potential source of LOSE and they all tightened up

plus we won 3 flags with 3 good kicks in the side

Clarke, Banks, Brown and Sonsie should be ready to make some strides this year and all drafted with great kicking skills

Looking forward to seeing them develop this year

It is a good point isn't it, Collingwood players under Fly are told not to worry about missed passes or turnovers as they have confidence their backline is in the right spot to get the ball back again.

Yze is saying why give a team like Collingwood a chance to get the ball back on a turnover if you hit your targets to begin with.

My only concern is we have been playing this way for a long time so we will have a big emphasis on players who can hit a target. Do we have these players? Taranto, Hopper, Prestia aren't great by foot. McIntosh's days are numbered.

Kaleb Smith, one of the only young players I’m excited about tbh. Was out with some season-long injury in the past season so will be interesting if he makes a splash in 2024.

Rated the best kick in his draft. Seems like the perfect project player for Yze with his new approach.

I’m a rationalist I like yze plan , allowing a turnover by saying the defence will win it back is like a gambler saying stiff cheddar I lost a fiver , I’ll win a tenner on the next race

Farkkkkkkkkkkkkkk the big Dust is locked in. This is how you set an example. I smell big midfield minutes next year.

He aren't going to play unless he tidys-up his skills and kicking big let down.
Yep if what we hear about playing the corridor like it’s a bowling alley that rules out half a doz straight off the bat . Hugo has much to offer with his dash , here’s hoping ooze adds a kicking class to his kit bag

Could be wrong but didn’t we go down this path when every other team was going to the US for altitude training?
