Not 100% on Balta forward…but as he says, when lunch comes in, Balta plays higher…I like that

Liked Fawcett didn't do much but moves nicely for a big fella.

Think he hit up someone by foot very nicely which ended with a converted shoat at goal. Little signs that stand out.

Wasn't slow, just didn't get his hands on it. Looks like the club was trying to play him in a half forward role which I don't think he knows how to play.

Reckon the kid could be a very good mid but we have so much depth in that area it is going to be hard for Sonsie to push his way through. Taranto, Hopper, Dusty, Baker, Graham, Dow, Prestia & Bolton. Reckon McAuliffe has even taken a spot from him going by the match sim.

Watched the last quarter of the 2020 GF the other day and Balta went into the ruck and was very handy

I don’t mind him playing a variety of roles including 2nd ruck.
I think it’s great to have a guy like Balta that we can throw just about anywhere and he can be a game changer.
That’s my take on him, use him to break open a game, where he’s needed.

Richmond confirms that midfielder Dion Prestia suffered a minor hamstring injury in Wednesday night’s match simulation.

The 31-year-old will not play in the Club’s hit-out against Melbourne on February 18. However, he remains a chance to feature in the Community Series match against Collingwood on February 26.

I dont rate Balta as a forward and feel we are playing a AA potential KPD as an mediocre AFL forward, but I hope to be proven wrong.

Gives him more time to develope, still only young for his player type. I was hoping he'd come on this yr & he still might, but we seem to have structured around that not happening at this point.

The "less game time, burst player" plan is rather exciting.

We have been told our game style and coaching led to us giving away more so if that’s true we should be giving less away this year and Gold Coast should be getting penalised more
