Incredibly slick and skilled player. Could've been pushing for a deal near the mill a year mark if he continued on that trajectory when you look at what a spud like Zac Williams is on. Will fade into obscurity now. Just had to have a wiser head on his shoulders.
Would probably get 4 weeks for that bump on Viney now :tearsofjoy:

I had a dream last night and this is 100% real, there was 1 minute to go in the 2024 grand final and it was Richmond vs Collingwood

we were up by 1 point after being 39 points down at 3 quarter time

the umps and afl stopped the game to figure out how they could screw us over and give the win to the pies. the crowd was waiting more than half an hour for the 1 minute that was left to be played and I woke up without the last minute being played

I hope Stack can turn his life around. But let's be serious, he's never gonna get back to an elite level. A wasted talent. Won't be the first. Won't be the last.

He said IF the penny drops. Which it very well may.
maurice junior has had a pre season gut for 3 years and gets a free pass from the club because of his name

imagine stack was was sydney rioli

stacky gonna do a stengle on us
How many players have we leaked for one reason or another that would be best 22 and established goal kickers

Stengle 25yo - 53 goals in 2022
Higgins 24yo - 26 goals in 2023
Butler 27 yo - 33 goals in 2023
Chol - 26 yo - 44 goals In 2022
Stack - 22yo - 10 goals in 2019.

And we got **** all back for them with the exception of maybe Higgins.

Compare that to our goal kickers in 2023 - only Riewoldt (gone) Martin (going to midfield) and Bolton kicked more than 25 goals.

We are in big trouble.

Apart from Chol, they are all smalls. In 2023, our forward line will start as Lynch, Kosi, Balta, Martin, Bolton plus 1 open spot for a small. In no particular order we have MRJ, Judson Clarke, Matt Coulthard, Rhyan Mansell, Cumberland and perhaps Sonsie fighting for that spot.

Stengle is the pick of the players on your list, but I have hopes that any of Coulthard, Cumberland or Clarke could go past him. Higgins is selfish and I wouldn't want him in the team. Butler has hit his peak. Stack is long gone.

Chol = Kosi = meh.

Better than good.. he was elite in almost every area aside from off the field

Still makes me sad, unbelievable talent for a first year player.

Stack is gonna be Stengle all over again.

Watch some other club pick him up next year and he becomes a gun.

Sounds like you saw into the future. 2030 grand final

Will be fully scripted sport by then

Stengle 25yo - 53 goals in 2022 - had off field issues
Higgins 24yo - 26 goals in 2023 - despised by the playing list
Butler 27 yo - 33 goals in 2023 - inconsistent - but I would of persevered with
Chol - 26 yo - 44 goals In 2022 - soft as butter. That Port final exposed him
Stack - 22yo - 10 goals in 2019. - off field issues.

If he couldn't make it at Richmond while we were the best team in the land on field and culturally, I really doubt your claims.

Honestly every time someone mentions chols 44 goal season I spew up, I would’ve happily drove him to the Gold Coast myself when he was traded… we didn’t lose him he was shiite, had zero mongrel and couldn’t even get him to make a second effort while holding him at gun point. He kicked 44 goals out the back good on him but he’s just shit literally couldn’t even take a 33 yr old Levi Casboults spot last year, I actually fell to my knees in Coles car park when I read there was a chance of him coming back to us last year

Those highlights show how good stack was. Don’t see many first year players do what he did. Tough, pace and elite skills. What a shame he couldn’t adapt to the professional afl lifestyle required.
Could have been anything.
Does Richmond bear any reponsibilty for his behaviour. I still beleive that if he was properly managed with support services addressing his off field issues that he would have acepted / adopted Richmonds Culture values . He was unfortunately left playing VFL without any real hope of what his future was with richmond. Yes his actions were a sign of protest of his frustrations that were not being addressed. His highlights based on the level of games displayed how gifted he was !

At his absolute peak, I walked away from a game thinking he was top 5-6 in our team and pushing higher.
I once said that at some point he’ll be our best player. Got him for nothing; I couldn’t believe how clever we were as a top of the ladder team.

Best 1st year highlight package you’d ever see. Came from nowhere to debut early. No time needed to settle in; looked the part immediately. 3rd in the Rising Star. Amazing stuff.

I was so disappointed, I wanted 15 years out of him.

I’m confident the support around him would have been very good. The club puts a lot into that space. What additional off field support are you thinking? And do you know what was actually done to support him? There’s a lot of unknowns in this story. I’m saddened by how it played out because he was so good to watch in that first year at the club. Maybe professional sports person wasn’t a good match for stack. There’s no shame in it…it’s probably true for most people.
