What is the normal recovery time from a Hernia operation does anybody know, particularly for those who play active sport?

I'm not sure about sport but a few coworkers have been advised to be on limited duties for 6 weeks so you'd need to add a few weeks for an all footballer at a guess.

Yeah 4 to 6 weeks, weights, push ups etc a no go but should be able to to run after 3 or 4 weeks.
