I am watching this game (Adel vs. us 2015 Final) and geez Lin Jong played well. Big things coming for him this year.

Was a great game. But some of our efforts defensively were non existent. Such a frustrating game. That one hurt just as much as our preliminary final losses to St Kilda. Dickson was absolutely huge for us

Morris was best on for us. Watch the game again and check out his individual efforts. Simply in a league of his own. Wood tried his heart out. But generally agree with your comment. Defensively we sucked and Betts kept getting cheapies out the back.

I managed to watch 3 random games from our season today and one thing that stood out was the impact that Crameri has in our wins. I honestly feel his loss could be a lot bigger than what we are anticipating. He really hit some good form towards the end of the year. He runs so hard and he can be used in a number of ways.

Morris was on Betts for a good chunk of the first half and was partially responsible for a number of said "cheapies". His personal efforts were fantastic but he didn't lock down anywhere near hard enough on his direct opponent. Our entire defensive line pressed too hard and Morris was unfortunately a big part of that. Not that he had a "bad" game, but I wouldn't have him best on ground. Betts had the better of him by some margin.

Morris was Betts direct opponent for most of his goals, but I'm not sure how much of that was due to Morris because I don't want to watch the game again.

Absolutely. The work Crameri does both on and off the ball is huge for the way we function. Were going to miss him a lot.

Perhaps, but if you review the stats and the advanced stats JJ should not
have made any difference. We would have won that game by around thirty
points at Etihad Stadium. I said beware the space, but i did not enjoy being
right.
It's a game we still should have won at the MCG. JJ adds a lot to our side in my opinion (and the coaches agree with his 6th in the b&f). Whether he could have got back to stop some easy goals who knows, but being as quick as he is he may have. But it's all hypotheticals.
I have no intention to look at the stats and advanced stats sorry, I wouldn't even know what to look for haha :)

If we had kicked straight we'd have won, space or no space. Etihad is a cop out.

These are the telling stats fargy, look away now.
Conversion- 43.8 % to 55.2 %
Disposals Per Goal- 27.71 to 21.44
% Inside 50's Score- 43.1 % to 45.5 %
% Inside 50's Goal- 21.5 % to 29.1 %
% Goals Assisted- 57.1 % to 75.0 %
Dogs first column, anyhow we all know it was Talias fault.;)

Etihad is a cop out, we won eleven of thirteen there and we should have
beaten the Saints in round six and Freo as well . We won three games
away from Etihad we beat a depleted Richmond by two points(MCG). We beat
Sydney by four on a boggy (SCG) and lost our next three and we beat the
dominant Gold Coast coming from 39 points down in the last quarter (cazaly).
However i agree with you we lost the final on conversion.

Ahh ok now I get where you are coming from. It's definitely a game we should have won and we only have our poor conversion to blame really. I don't have the stats but our set shots seemed a problem for a majority of our team bar two or three for the whole year. Hopefully it's something that improves this year!

A Deledio-less Richmond by 19, that is. In a game we controlled from start to finish, despite taking the field with a considerably younger side, after a considerably more difficult opening round. Without Liberatore. ;)

I'm sorry, I just don't handle it well when our 2015 victories are discredited, given the circumstances.

image.jpeg image.jpeg Guys, looking over the stats, and I've done these to death - much to my detriment, the Adelaide game was an aberration. We could play that game 50 times and, with the stats, we win it 49 times. We got beaten by ourselves, not Fletcher, not Tex, not Eddie, ourselves. We will have had all summer to think about perhaps kicking the ball better at goal.

I think most of us agree with that, but it doesn't really change the fact that we could have done a number of other things better also.

8-10 years ago a full back having three majors kicked on him would be an ok result, considering it was by someone of walker's class it could have been way more. I will continue to say it, but Roberts will be a vital cog in our team imo

Yep also remember Walker kicked two of those 3 from well outside 50 which doesn't happen every week. In other words he kicked 1.3 the next week against Hawthorn and Frawley was lauded as having done an amazing job on him.

Roberts played Walker like Brian Lake would have. Let him go outside of 50, playing the percentages and making sure he won the ball a long way from goal. Unfortunately Walker was kicking them from everywhere

Looking at those stats. Its clear to me that the umps cost us the game.

That's a weird way of agreeing.
It was a cop out then and a cop out now, a ground doesn't make that much of a difference, we should have won regardless.
