honestly the stuff about Keeler, Pou and Wilson warms the soul
I realluy hope Ross bites the bullet and plays Keeler rd 1 or in the Pre season games. I have said it a few times but I think he will do better at AFL level as a forward then in the VFL. If they decide to play him back then he will fit in well imo.
He's so dynamic for someone his size. there's things he's done at lower levels I have never seen someone his size do, running bounces, speccies, etc etc.

Just get him in.

Where has been training so far?

As for Wilson, we are talking about the best first year player we've had in a long long time. There is no doubt in my mind he could launch into A/A contention this year and cement himself as an elite player for a long long time. As someone else mentioned his goal kicking is a string that few players his age have. He could have had two bags of five had things gone slighty dfferently.

Lastly, my guy. I am so hopeful on the Pou it seems he is taking real agency this pre season. The confidence he gained from those ast three games was worth everything. His decision making just iproved out of sight. Now its about getting past that 30 mark and then improving the other techincal aspects, deicion making, kicking, marking and exploding out the contest.

The saints in no mans land thread has so many people refusing to see any way we could possibly improve from last year.

As it stands to me, we showed good form in the back end of the year (including beating a grand finalists and a prelim finalist), weve (softly) adressed the midfield issue with Macrae and have considerable expected improvement in the likes of Windy, Pou, Garcia, Wilson as well as role players in Clark, Dow etc. Our forward line has a shot at using its VAST talent with a decent pre season, some continuity and chemisty (combining with a decent if not good midfield) and our backline remains pretty solid (albeit Battle is a loss).

To me its weird most non saints fan seem so assured well be terrible this year.
Just had my posting privileges pulled on the No Mans Land thread after I dropped a truth bomb on some Bluescum nuffie about his own underperforming team and his oxymoronic nic :tonguewink:

Anyway the thread is a raging dumpster fire and should be in the Bay ..... just an open door for opposition supporters to continually punch down hard on the Saints .... yet the Mods are happy to turn a blind eye and allow it to exist in the Main forum

I remember talking to a player on the fringes under Richo and he sounded the same. Richo seems as benign as a doormat but apparently he was a bit of a lying vindictive campaigner if this guy has anything to say about it. It was hard to reconcile a guy who was as dry as sand having a dark side. It made him seem a lot more interesting than the perception.

That said never trust a little man. They are nasty.

By the sounds of all the training reports about Keeler, if he keeps it up, he's gotta be a lock for the pre-season games at least. Think he's been training forward so if Caminiti is underdone, he should also be at the front of the queue to be his replacement come round 1

Makes me like him even more.

Anything that cesspit of c*#%s find negative is ok with me.
We should make Bolton coach from the bench when we play Carlton and just get him to munch on short bread and eyeball Carlton players as they run through interchange.

Boris is definitely our Dean Cox you’d say. Simply a matter of time and I’m not wishing the RTB days away yet but I love the big picture on the coaching front

What is Enright’s new role if he’s no longer doing the back line anyone know?

I’ll be very disappointed if this succession plan doesn’t come to fruition. Looks a shoe-in though doesn’t it. I guess timeframes and RTB wanting a Flag might be things that hold it up.

What I like most about Enright is how calm he seems. Reckon that’s a required trait to coach St Kilda.

Also, what’s the story with Jones, anyone know? I thought he finished the season unscathed. And really stepped up tbh. All the other lads in the rehab group were to be expected. Hope King is out of it sooner rather than later.

Also with Tau-Roo, I wouldn’t be pushing or risking anything whatsoever with him with those stress fractures. Cotton wool all the way that’s a very delicate situation. Weeks or months aren’t the concern, give his body all the time it needs to heal plus more, getting it right and strong is all that matters.

Watched a few Travaglia interviews, just me or does that kid have a very healthy serving of fig jam in him? I’m not sure previous administrations would approve! 🤣

It’s my own fault for engaging the smooth brains going in there.

Fancy thinking you’d know better about a clubs list than their actual supporters. I’m not gonna go explain to Carlton and Hawthorn supporters what they need to take the next steps (hint a ****ing spine and a social media ban would help them respectively) cause I don’t know or care.

Anyway, ****ing dumb if you can’t see the plan at this point.

How was that massive pack mark Keeler took.........you could almost hear the dropping jaws hitting the concrete......I nearly dropped my coffee.

Very very impressive.

Just cannot wait to see what happens with him next season.
🥰😍I was watching him snapping goals from outside the boundary line at training last year...sexual❤️

Went for a peak at the Hawks board to see how Battle is looking over there. What a mistake! Not only was he our best defender last year but now he was also somehow our 3rd best runner.. “Levels”
We got kissed on the dick to get pick 8 for him but also he’s an absolutely elite defender.

I’m not gonna clip him at all (I’m not suggesting you were) cause I ****ing love Josh but it is funny to watch

We were a better team with him in it. Loved Josh playing for us. I’m just commenting on the revisionism from the Hawks fans
