Ok, let's now panic

On SM-S908E using BigFooty.com mobile app
Calm the farm !!!!!!

I'm putting out an APB on Cairnsman.

It's massively disappointing for the Pou.

He's one who I.....and the team..... didn't want to lose for the early part of the season.

Looked absolutely primed for a big year........hopefully despite this setback.....he will have a big year.

With the greatest of respect to michaelwhothe****, I’ll wait for a bit more of an official source to confirm before I panic.

We’ve had a lot of luck in recent years of finding out our backup players are very capable when given the chance. Injuries are unfortunate, but they’re a good chance for 2nd tier players to put their stamp on the team.

Not the end of the world. If we can’t win games of footy without Liam Henry and Phillipou, we aren’t good enough for finals anyway.

What awful news to wake up to. Our young gun mid is out, by the way Dougal popped a shoulder and our AA ruckman is out for 2 months!!!!!

Bet they’re glad we recruited Boyd now. Hopefully we find a player or two that wouldn’t have played otherwise.

Interested to see who takes Pou’s rotation spot, Jones? Garcia? Windy? Someone else?

Hahah don’t worry I was as flat as anyone when I saw Pou! Just gotta hope they get his rehab right.

I reckon if they are not on the injured list issued this morning, it's fair to assume they are fine (for now). So breathe out on Nas.

Yeah, feel like Boyd is a massive chance for Round 1 now, and that he might grab it and that'll leave Marshall to come back in as a cream on top addition. I'm more sorry for Pou than the team - he's 20 and has plenty of footy ahead. But Marshall leaves a massive hole (he's played the last 62 games straight).

The players who make it to round 1 might be fit, but that's come at a critical cost. Two stress related injuries can only conclude that the workload has been too much. Furthermore, it's the location of these stressies that is of even more concern. I've never heard of a femur or pelvis stress fracture. They're typically load injuries seen in feet, lower leg limbs and the back for fast bowlers and growing athletes. But a femur, the biggest bone in the body and the pelvis, FMD!

I've had lower leg stressies returning to running too fast after hip and groin surgeries. They're not fun. Plus, an AFL environment can expediate the return to play for other injuries or recovery from surgeries, but not stressies. The only thing that can be done is wait and let the body heal it's own bone.

Not the end of the world, at least we will get a look at some other blokes and Jerry Garcia will now be a lock to play midfield minutes. And Mattaes is only 20 right, plenty of time.

On a side note, I've seen big Moose in the sauna of a local pool a few times over the last couple of weeks. No puppy fat and the body of an AFL footballer. Visibly you can tell he's putting in and giving himself the best chance, just hope his footy/ruck chops can match.

Its not good.

Weren't there people saying how hard we train. Hardest training team in the AFL. But also we tend to give them more time off.

I hope we didn't push it too far.

Its all well and good to say dont panic but Roma and Howard in particular are two guys were very heavily reliant on (especially with Battle gone).

Pou is coverable based on last years output but its extremely disappointing to lose another half season from a young prospect (provided his recovery goes well which weve seen is not a given).

I also think we were all in on this season, we needed it to go well and play finals if we were any hope of catching an FA and pushing on next year.

As it stands were in alot of ****ing strife right now.

Fmd, Pou was the last bloke I wanted to go down.

Unfortunately we are a club that is pretty exposed in a few areas. We have limited tall back options and the midfield is lacking qualit as we all know. In terms of structure, we just lost 2 of most important 5-6 players I would argue.

Disappointing, but hopefully both are back the second half. Hopefully season is still alive. I am not sure we are a top 8 level side yet anyway. Hopefully this is a good opportunity for a Garcia type.
