Think i'd be swapping those top 3 in bold with the bottom 3 in bold...now thats certain

Bold effort and there are always surprises but I think you offer too many. Melbourne second is hard to see, and Western Bulldogs fourth only slightly less so. Adelaide, Kangaroos and St Kilda as bottom four teams I see as really improbable individually - and impossible as a group. Your fifth to twelth picks seem as reasonable as anyone's. Though I'll be pretty vexed if we come eleventh. GF aside we are better than that at present.

No, I ranked the teams from my predicted 1-4, 5-8, 9-12 and 13-16 categories in alphabetical, not numerical order. Note how I said I find it next to impossible to rank them arithmetically.:)

Though that being said... hell, I'll give it a shot.

Ahhh, gotcha!

Brisbane? Youthful, talented, on the rise = finals for them in ‘08. I’m predicting they’ll get knocked out in a qualifying final, though. Either to Fremantle or Collingwood.

That would mean Freo would have to win a finals game and thats unheard of.

1. Geelong ... provided the party doesn't run too long
2. Hawthorn ... good list built from years of high draft picks
3. Collingwood ... Should improve although clement loss hurts defence
4. Brisbane ... forward line looking frightening, TJ lifts a still top-notch midfield
5. Port Adelaide ... shocked how far they went this year.. query team for me
6. West Coast ... think all the dramas will really hit home
7. Sydney ... in decline but will still scrap out every game
8. Carlton ... hurts me to say but if they dodge injuries can really lift..
9. Fremantle... had their big chance this year .. need to lift midfield division.
10. Kangaroos ... can't jump on the bandwagon now.. middle of the road i reckon
11. St Kilda ... can't see where the improvement is coming from
12. Bulldogs ... too disappointing this year
13. Richmond ... slight improvers but don't think they have great forwards
14. Melbourne ... awful this year.. letting TJ go indicates to me they are on a rebuilding program
15. Essendon ... will be a struggle.
16. Adelaide ... after a long time up i think they will have one down year

1. Geelong ... They'll be too good again
2. Hawthorn ... Hawks will challenge
3. Port Adelaide ... Similar year to last
4. Essendon ... Big improvers
5. Brisbane ... Could be the wildcard
6. Collingwood ... Similar year to last
7. St Kilda ... Will start to get over injury problems
8. Sydney ... Still enough there to claim a spot in the 8
9. West Coast ... No Judd No Cuz dynasty over... will struggle
10. Melbourne ... Will improve but not enough
11. Bulldogs ... West and Johnson can't carry the team. Too many holes.
12. Fremantle ... List is overrated. Tough draw.
13. Adelaide ... On the way down.
14. Kangaroos ... Will prove that it was a one year fluke.
15. Carlton ... Judd will narrow the 100 point losses down to 30.
16. Richmond .. Terry won't have job by seasons end.

Like your ladder but I would swap Collingwood & Essendon. Think the bombers will be a contender for the lower part of the 8 there list is noway as bad as people are saying. Also think Carlton should be around 10th or 11th

West Coast - still sort of flying high
Geelong - will get a bit of a hangover
Collingwood - about the same as '07, will have an up and down year
------------
W. Bulldogs - will disappoint again
Fremantle - so will these guys
Carlton - if they make 11th it will be promising
Essendon - can't see the bombers bottoming out
Sydney - time to go into the wilderness for a while
Melbourne - rabble

Richmond - because it's richmond

Premiers: Hawthorn

1.Geelong

Geelong 19 3 - More wins but less thrashings dished out.
Collingwood 17 5 - Best year since 2003
West Coast 16 6 - Still a powerhouse
Hawthorn 15 7 - Finally top 4. Can't see them going backwards
Port Adel 14 8 - Plenty of wins.
Fremantle 14 8 - Solid improvement. The real Freo.
Sydney 12 10 - Too many are writing them off
Adelaide 12 10 - 10 wins @ AAMI + 2 Road wins = Finals
-----------------
St Kilda 12 10 - Solid season, but will lose games against bottom teams
Brisbane 11 11 - Many fine wins, but are too prone to long losing streaks
W Bulldogs 10 12 - Real form lies somewhere between rds 1-14 and 15-22 of 2007
Carlton 9 13 - Judd and Stevens will see Carlton's first competative season since 04
Melbourne 9 13 - Less injuries = more wins. Will learn to win the close ones.
Kangaroos 7 15 - Not convinced. Their 2007 finals campaign poses more questions than answers
Richmond 5 17 - Slight improvement, but list not good enough.
Essendon 3 19 - Long year. Hird loss will cost the Dons about 5 or 6 wins.
