Let's assume Geelong's first round pick is 16, plus Brent Prismall... I doubt they'd go for it but it's not a terrible offer.

Any cance of ANYONE wanting Sampi

Missed 2 flights that the Eagles made for him and has gone walk about in Broome

Give me your thoughts

No, it wouldn't.

We have no need for a lead up CHF like Hansen and he isn't worth Fev if you include Rosa. I doubt Carlton would even bother using that 3rd round pick when this draft appears to be as shallow as the 2005 draft. We'd want your first pick, a gun young player of the quality of Hurn(just an example) and a second round pick for Fevola.
No way West Coast would pay much. The two picks or the first rounder and the gun, maybe with a later pick.

But not that much.

Hurn and a first round pick would get it over the line I reckon.
Agree 100%.

But you'll have noticed that a lot of the Eagles fans on here who know what they're talking about (read: dont dribble shit) have classed Hurn as "untouchable".

Personally, while the media is making a big fuss of it, I dont think WCE and CFC will ever be able to come to an agreement on Fev. I'd like to see him in blue and gold, but I just cant see it happening. Woodhouse is a notorious cheapskate.

I think that's basically screaming "Don't trade for me, I don't care about playing"...

That was just the first demand which is always over the top and the starting point for negotiations. ;)

I'd love to get Hurn and a first round pick, but he would be an untouchable and off limits. We had our chance to get Hurn by trading Lance for a first round pick but blew it. I hope we don't make the same mistake with Fevola and get a great deal while his price is still up.

A top 12 pick and a gun young player for Fevola is what we'd want in trade week.

A quick midfielder, not in your 22, but someone who has potential and is quick.
If that was all the Bombers wanted, I'm sure the Pies would be talking to you. ;)

Fevola and Hartlett>Crows
Crows first pick(top ten), Meesen/Griffin and a young midfielder(Douglas/Knights)>Carlton.

Crows need a gun goalkicker and Meesen wants out or he'd have shown more in the SANFL. Craig might be able to get Hartlett's body right with his background and Adam would give them another tall option for both ends. Knights and Douglas are the only two Victorian mids I'd want with Reilly re-signing and spoken of as a future Crows captain in yesterday's press.

Fevola and Russell>Power
Power's first pick, Deluca and a young midfielder(Salopek)>Carlton.

The Power don't need Deluca because they have a stack of young rucks coming through. Williams said he wants Fev and he would win them more games in September than Salopek. Russell might finally step up playing in his home state under a coach with a great record at developing kids into players. But Williams was probably playing mind games with the Crows in saying he wants Fev at Alberton Oval.

Fev>Dogs
First round pick(top ten pick) and ????>Carlton

And that effectively eliminates WC unless Fev openly comes out and says "I want to go to West Coast".

We'd have to trade away a young player to upgrade our first pick, and then give you the gun young player and that first pick. We're effectively giving up 2 players and our first draft pick.

Personally, I'd consider it. But a lot of people wouldnt, and I suspect WC wouldnt.

I saw Jack Grimes play for NK's against the Jets and he looked classy and sharp. The Knights won easily with Kruezer dominating the Ruck and little 26 (sorry don't know his name) crumbing well in the slippery conditions. Kruezer will go Pick 1...nuff said. But Cotchin (didn't play today) and Grimes look to have the bodies and balance to make it in the big league. I took great care to observe Grime's positioning, attacking and defensive skills on both sides of his body and I couldn't see a flaw. He seemed to lift others with his prescence and shows good leadership potential. In the huddle and walking off the ground he was full of encouragement for team-mates and they seemed to be bouyed by his attention.

Not necessarily. You gave up McConnel & your first round for an earlier first round and a second rounder. So it might cost you a good youngster, a youngster with issues + your first rounder, but you'd get Fev + a decent 2nd round pick.

Laycock ain't going nowhere. And we'd want more than a single good midfielder for him. Laycock's showing a lot of damn good signs for a 22yr old ruck.

Duh!

Carlton need more mid tier talent. They shouldn't be trading Scottland or Houlihan they should be looking at recruiting more mid tier players to ease the burden on Murphy, Gibbs, Kennedy. Mainly they just need a ****ing ruckmen.

we'll give you monfries and our third rounder for scotland

Monfries having a blue patch but he should remain a bomber. Showed how good he is at time last year and really just needs to find his spot. I think he will be a half forward who rotates into the middle. He need to be patient with him.
